CCC's Street Art Contest #279 - Samurai Woman - Ericeira, Portugal [Eng-Pt]

Good evening to all lovers of street art and of the Street Art community!

Today I want to share with you some graffiti that I came across by chance. I was out walking with a group of friends last Sunday. The route took us to São Lourenço, near Ericeira.

The landscapes are always very appealing, and being in close contact with nature, wildlife, and fresh air rejuvenates anyone. I started the week with good energy and eager to embrace another week. Christmas is almost here!!!

On the way back, almost at the starting point, and since it was a circular route, we passed through an area we hadn't passed on the way there.

It was a water treatment plant, which is part of the São Lourenço Pumping Station. Just another building, with nothing to distinguish it until the artist chose it to give free rein to his creativity.

I tried to search the internet for the name of this artist, but nothing came up... I don't know if I'm reading the name wrong, or if it's someone who has only recently started painting. In any case, I liked the strokes he used to represent this samurai-style warrior with some impressive glutes! 😅

The colors used varied greatly from pastel tones, reminiscent of the sepia tones that normally appear in more recent photographs of these Japanese warriors.

What do you think of the artwork?

I liked it, and even though I had to walk through muddy ground to get closer to the railing so I could photograph the details more clearly, I can say that getting my sneakers all muddy was definitely worth it!

Boa noite a todos os amantes da arte de rua e da Comunidade Street Art!

Hoje quero aqui partilhar com vocês um graffiti que encontrei por mero acaso. Estava a fazer uma caminhada com um grupo de amigos neste passado Domingo. O percurso decorreu para São Lourenço, para os lados da Ericeira.

As paisagens são sempre muito apelativas, e o contacto próximo com a natureza, a fauna e o ar fresco faz rejuvenescer qualquer um. Comecei logo a semana com boa energia, e com vontade de abraçar mais uma semana. Estamos quase no Natal!!!

No regresso, quase a chegar ao ponto de partida, e sendo um caminho circular, passamos por uma zona que não tinhamos passado na ida.

Era uma estação de tratamento de águas, que faz parte da Estação Elevatória de São Lourenço. Mais um edificio, sem nada que o distinguisse até ao artista o ter escolhido para dar asas à sua creatividade.

Tentei procurar na internet pelo nome deste artista, e não me apareceu nada... Não sei se eu estou a ler mal o nome, ou se é alguém que começou recentemente a pintar. De qualquer forma, gostei dos traços que ele usou para representar esta guerreira ao estilo samurai com uns valentes glúteos! 😅

As cores usadas variavam muito dos tons pastel, o que remetia para as tonalidades de sépia que normalmente existem nos registos fotográficos mais recentes desses guerreiros nipônicos.

O que é que vocês acham da obra de arte?

Eu gostei, e apesar de ter que ter caminhado sobre um terreno enlameado, para me aproximar mais do gradeamento, para conseguir fotografar com maior detalhe os pormenores, e com maior nitidez, posso dizer que ficar com tênis todos enlameados valeu seguramente a pena!

Eu apesar de estar bem de saúde, e sem nada que me preocupe muito, só lamento não estar a conseguir responder aos comentários que já foram feitos ao longo desta semana passada, mas prometo que os irei fazer.

Espero que para a semana também consigo ter mais tempo para ler as publicações de alguns utilizadores que eu costumo acompanhar, e poder participar nos comentários dessas mesmas.
