CCC's Street Art Contest # 271 "Centro de Saúde da Amadora USF Alma Mater" - APURB, Amadora, Portugal [Eng-Pt]

Welcome to another weekly post in this community! How was your weekend? Was it good?
Some of you were at Hive Fest#10 in KL! Although I couldn't make it to this edition, I still managed to follow some things through the Telegram group and in some posts that some of you made. I can only say that I was jealous!
That same weekend, on Saturday, I took a little trip to the city of Amadora. Anyone who knows this city in the Lisbon region knows how much its social fabric has changed in less than 30 years. There has been a complete change in the population, largely due to urban pressure and because those who live here work more in the central area of Lisbon.
In my opinion, Amadora has a fairly good balance between urbanized areas and green spaces.
The graffiti I am about to show you was created in May 2015, as part of one of the most important illustration and comic book festivals. I am talking about the Amadora International Comic Book Festival.
The 2013 poster for this festival inspired several artists from the Portuguese Association of Urban Art (APURB) to give a new look to Building B of the new Amadora Health Center (Alma Mater), located on Rua Capitão Plácido Abreu.
On other occasions, I have had the opportunity to share other work carried out by this Association here. Here are the links so you can consult them if you wish (Post I, Post II, Post III).
The colors are pastel shades, reminiscent of a real watercolor painting... flowing perfectly with the building and bringing a new perspective to the city.
Interestingly, one of the photos also shows a poster for the 2025 edition of the same festival, which will take place between October 23 and November 2. Maybe I'll try to organize myself to go there one of these days!
I hope you enjoyed this project, which certainly made a difference, highlighting the building that is used to promote health, with very cheerful and balanced colors.

Bem vindos para mais uma publicação semanal nesta comunidade! Como é que foi o vosso fim de semana? Foi bom?
Alguns de vocês estiveram no Hive Fest#10 em KL! Apesar de eu não ter consigo ir a esta edição, ainda consegui acompanhar algumas coisas pelo grupo de Telegram, e em algumas publicações que alguns de vós fizeram. Só posso dizer que fiquei com inveja!
Neste mesmo fim de semana, no sábado, fui dar uma pequena volta na cidade da Amadora. Quem conhece esta cidade da região de Lisboa, sabe como o seu tecido social mudou tanto em menos de 30 anos. Houve uma mudança completa dos habitantes, muito por causa da pressão urbanística, e por quem aqui mora, que trabalha mais na zona central de Lisboa.
A Amadora, no meu ver, tem um equilíbrio até bastante bom no que diz respeito à área urbanizada e aos espaços verdes que oferece.
O graffiti que vos vou apresentar de seguida, foi feito em Maio de 2015, ainda no âmbito de um dos mais importantes festivais de ilustração e banda desenhada. Falo-vos do Festival Internacional de Banda Desenhada da Amadora.
O cartaz de 2013 desse mesmo festival serviu de inspiração para vários artistas da Associação Portuguesa de Arte Urbana - APURB - trazerem uma cara nova ao Edifício B do novo Centro de Saúde da Amadora (Alma Mater), localizado na Rua Capitão Plácido Abreu.
Já por outras ocasiões tive oportunidade de aqui partilhar outros trabalhos realizados por esta Associação. Deixo-vos aqui os links para os poderem consultar de desejarem (Publicação I, Publicação II, Publicação III)
As cores são em tons de pastel, e lembram uma verdadeira aguarela.. fluindo perfeitamente com o edifício, e trazendo uma nova perspectiva da cidade.
Curiosamente, numa das fotografias aparece também um cartaz para a Edição de 2025, desse mesmo festival a decorrer entre os dias 23 de outubro e 2 de novembro. Se calhar ainda vou tentar organizar-me para poder lá ir um desses dias!
Espero que tenham gostado deste trabalho, que certamente fez a diferença, destacando o Edifício que é usado para promover a saúde, e com cores bastante alegres, e muito equilibradas.
