Me in a white hat in 28 °C in the rocky semi-desert, near San Isidro (2023.04.29)
It is not visible on the photos, but my neck is sunburned a little bit. I will try to be more careful. You can be sunburned very quickly in this place. The white hat helps. It reflects the sunshine.
Probably I will wear this hat regularly in the semi-desert.
Today and tomorrow mostly I will relax in the shadows.

Yeah, you always need a good hat on in those kinds of conditions. I feel you though, few years back I was on an adventure in the Rocky Mountains and neglected to take into account the thinner air at higher elevation makes sunburns a lot easier, even with a hat my nose was sunburnt for weeks.
