I opened a Heineken Silver beer can in the tent in the semi-desert on South Tenerife for #BeerSaturday week 308 (2023.05.28)

#BeerSaturday week 308 by @zekepickleman.

I very rarely drink alcohol, but I am specifically invited for this Beer Saturday, and as I currently remember, I have not participated in Beer Saturday so far, so why not.

This week for #BeerSaturday, I would like to invite @xplosive who lives in a cave/tent living community in the rocky semi-desert between El Médano and San Isidro! Yes you read that right! Take a few pictures, tag #beersaturday and raise a glass with us on Hive!

Well, I raise a can. :-D

A 4% Heineken Silver can in the tent.

Cheers, everyone.

My view from the tent this morning (at 06:57 WEST).

My view from outside of the tent this morning (at 07:33 WEST).

My view from the community place (approximately one minute walk away from the tent) this morning (at 07:31 WEST). I took this photo first, then the view from outside the tent above.

I arrived on Tenerife on the afternoon of 2023.04.21, so I live in this community for a little bit more than one month. Usually I do not wake up early in the morning, but today I did. I read the invitation to the Beer Saturday, and I decided to participate in it, so my first thing to do this morning (in addition to take photos) was literally to grab this beer can from the community place.

We have complete boxes of Heineken beer cans in the storage room (cave), but I really very rarely drink alcohol.

I opened this beer can.

The opened beer can.

"Extra refreshing taste" is written on it, and it indeed has a very good taste. I very much enjoyed it.

By the way, my solar powered BigBlue power bank no longer works. Looks like it could not stand the rocky semi-desert. Yesterday (on 2023.05.27) morning it worked. Today none of the LEDs are lit, and it does not turn on.

It arrived on 2023.04.13, so I used it only for a little bit more than one month. So it did not last long. The people say that the foldable solar panels are much more durable and much more efficient. Maybe one day I will try that too. For now, I use the electricity in the community place to charge my smartphone. There are big solar panels with charging controller, with inverter, with a battery.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.

Oh no :( I hope you can return the powerbank and get a new one, maybe another model.

I no longer have its box and it's invoice, so I cannot return it. Probably I will buy a foldable solar panel in the future. I heard that the foldable solar panels are more durable and more efficient than this BigBlue solar powered power bank. For now, I will use the electricity in the community place to charge my smartphone.

I enjoy it from the first day (since the afternoon of 2023.04.21), when I arrived on Tenerife. I met only a few, but really kind and helpful people so far in this cave/tent living community. Nowadays around 10 people lives in this community place. I heard that there will be much more people in this place in the winter.

Very different from what you know, it is finding happiness and contentment that counts most today.

I don’t know where to start!

The fact you are living this grand and unique adventure is fantastic. Then, you are not only sharing it with the world to tag along but also documenting it for all time Hive. Not only that, but you are able to enjoy a beer with the global pub at #beersaturday!

Beer and the blockchain connect us all and transcend borders!

Thank you. I very rarely drink alcohol, but I know from personal experience that there are beers with good taste. For example sour cherry, pear, lemon flavored beer. I also wish good luck to you.

Cheers! Welcome to the #beersaturday! 🍻
I don't know anything about these solar panels but you might try to find a secondhand one, I've seen some panels used for animal pens here, maybe there also?

The community has some solar panels with battery, with charging controller, with inverter. For now, I use the community system to charge my smartphone. Probably I will ask them where can I buy either a small system with a normal solar panel, or a simple foldable solar panel with an USB charger. Probably the latter would be better for me nowadays, because nowadays I would use it only to charge my smartphone.

Hahaha, Maybe it's because you don't use to drink alcohol that you call Heineken a !BEER?

I indeed very rarely drink alcohol. I tasted only a few so far. From the few I tried so far, my favorites are the various taste variations (for example the lemon and the sour cherry) of the Soproni beer. Soproni is a Hungarian beer.

By the way wild camping is allowed in Tenerife? Just asking, because on Mallorca it isn't allowed at all, but in Ibiza people don't get fined very often or everywhere.... !BBH

The officials know that the community live in this place both in caves and in tents since many years. Some of them moved to live in this place 10 years ago. I do not know if this counts as a wild camping, or a camping in a private area, or something else, but it is allowed.

Wow, impressive. But good for people who want to live like this without harming anyone else. I just have been asking this question again, so just omit it... !LOL
