I am preparing to travel from Hungary to Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain - Our #WednesdayWalk (2023.04.12)

This will be the first time, when I travel to another country. And also the first time, when I will travel by airplane.

I already booked the Budapest - South Tenerife airplane ticket yesterday (on 2023.04.11) for 2023.04.21. It will be a direct flight (5 hours 45 minutes). It was 25 289 Hungarian Forint (HUF) (€67.22 EUR), because €1 EUR is currently 376.20 Hungarian Forint (HUF). This was the possible cheapest airplane ticket from Budapest to Tenerife in the near future.

I will visit and I will join the Hungarian community on South Tenerife. I already talked to them, and there is a place for me.

Today we (my brother and me) went into various stores in Szolnok, Hungary, and I bought a backpack for my travel. Also the possible cheapest backpack in the area. It was 5490 Hungarian Forint (HUF) (€14.59 EUR).

There is a "wish you all the best" sign on it. As if it would have been made for me (mostly I end my Hive blockchain posts with an "all the best" message).

I write "I am preparing", because my brother cannot come with me this time. He is receiving his pension-like income by postal mail. And in addition to this, he have other private/personal problems, which probaby he will solve in the next years. Of course I will not go into details about this. The main point is that we will keep the contact with each other. Both by telephone, and on the internet too.

Also yesterday (on 2023.04.11) I ordered a solar panel power bank (10 000 mAh) with a flashlight. This will be good to charge my smartphone on the go. It was 10 180 Hungarian Forint (HUF) (€27.06 EUR) with shipping (I will pay on the package arrival). I have not received the package yet, but the store sent me an e-mail today at 12:38 CEST writing that my order is on the way. I was not at home in those hours, only around 16:00 CEST.

By the way, the Hungarian community on Tenerife also has solar panels and chargers to charge smartphones and laptops.

If everything will go right, then soon I will explore (and post from) Tenerife.

Today morning and the early afternoon was very cloudy, but there was no rain, and the sky became clearer in the late afternoon. Today the daylight temperature is/was around 15 °C. There was little wind, so our walk was pleasant.

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk, Sorry last week was a bit rough for me and I not only did not get out for any walks, but also was not able to visit all the walks from last week, but feeling better this week and visiting posts again which is always fun for me to visit the walks from all around the world, getting a feel for communities where people live and what they see on their daily walks

Thank you. Fortunately/luckily one of my Hungarian friends (an engineer) there knows (understand) (read, write, and speak Spanish). He can help both in the learning and in translating too.

Probably. Currently I know only a few words in Spanish. For example muchas gracias (thank you very much), buenos días (good morning). I will look for articles, videos, audio recordings to learn a few useful, often used Spanish sentences.

Their number is constantly changing (people come and go), but I heard about 4 people, who are almost always there, and someone is always at home, so I will not be alone.
