A short visit to Jászalsószentgyörgy, Hungary (2022.11.06)

Jászalsószentgyörgy is a village on the Northern Great Plain in Hungary. The population was 3192 in 2018.01.01 (currently there is no up-to-date data available about this).

Today afternoon I visited one of my friends there, and I took a few photos in the village center.

This building is the bus stop. This is a real architectural art for a village like this.

The view from the other side of the street.

The sign of the bus stop.

There are a few benches near the bus stop, so you can sit down, while you wait for the bus.

There is a Coop (a supermarket chain) near the bus stop.

Next to the Coop, there is a church.

On the other side of the street, there is the Faluház (Village house).

There is an ATM at the middle, and a public telephone on the right side.

Next to the Faluház, there is another grocery store, and there is a Nyilvános WC (public WC) (public toilet) between the two buildings.

There is a Szent György (Saint George) Catholic elementary school a few minutes of walk away in the right direction. By the way, the village is partially also named after him (Szent György is Saint George).

Based on the first sight, I think that Jászalsószentgyörgy is a lovely village. Every important thing is available in the village, so the inhabitants do not have to travel to the nearest big city, which is Szolnok, which is approximately 24 km away. The weather was very pleasant. I enjoyed the walk on this beautiful autumn/fall day.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

I would think the same, but the population actually decreased by 644 in the previous two decades. The population was 3836 in 2001.

Looking at the places, as if no one lives there, it good for side seeing, good structure in the village that feels good

A serene feeling when seeing this town like village, I want to live there and enjoy the calmness it offers to its residents. A lovely trip btw and you've showed us a wonderful place to remember.

Wish you a great week ahead.
