The sun was slowly setting, tinting the sky with that golden hue that only appears at the end of a day worth living. I was driving home, the music low and the window barely open to let in the fresh evening air.

In front of me, a line of cars moved slowly. I wasn't bothered by the traffic, not today. There was something special about that moment. I looked up and there was the moon, round and bright, as if it were waiting for me. It always gives me a sense of calm to see it so early, as if reminding me that the day wasn't wasted.

I passed by the poster for the new series they were promoting. I wanted to get there, throw myself on the couch, and start watching it. But beyond that, I was grateful. For that moment of stillness, for the lights of the sunset, for having a place to return to.

The city was following its own rhythm, but I was already at mine. Almost home.

El sol se estaba escondiendo lentamente, tiñendo el cielo de ese tono dorado que sólo aparece en los finales de día que valen la pena. Iba manejando de vuelta a casa, con la música baja y la ventana apenas abierta para dejar entrar el aire fresco de la tarde.

Frente a mí, una hilera de autos avanzaba sin prisa. No me molestaba el tráfico, hoy no. Había algo especial en ese momento. Levanté la vista y ahí estaba la luna, redonda y brillante, como si me estuviera esperando. Siempre me da una sensación de calma verla tan temprano, como si me recordara que el día no fue en vano.

Pasé por el cartel de la serie nueva que están promocionando. Me dieron ganas de llegar, tirarme en el sillón y empezar a verla. Pero más allá de eso, me sentía agradecido. Por ese instante de quietud, por las luces del atardecer, por tener un lugar al que volver.

La ciudad seguía su ritmo, pero yo ya estaba en el mío. Casi en casa.
