The First Australians

Q:How do you think people were able to get to Australia so long ago? What hurdles might they have faced?

A:I think early humans got to Australia by boats. They would have island hoped across a chain of South Pacific Islands. They would have faced fog, sharks, storms, thirst and hunger and also getting lost. They may have used the stars to navigate.

Q:Why were they isolated for so long? What might have stopped others from following in their path?

A:They may have gotten lost at sea and accidentally found Australia. They didn’t know how to get back and tell others the way. They were stranded.
