My Birthday Celebration in CDO: No parent on her side but have a friend that treated you like a princess

My birthday was celebrated here in CDO, far away from my family and although I could not go with my family, I had good friends come to celebrate my birthday with me.

I am not picky about food, even if I 'm not the one making the purchase and just joining other people to eat.

These are my friends from my school, University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines. They are really cool - I have no sad feeling or missing my family when I 'm with them. They care for me all the time now that I 'm living here in Cagayan de Oro.

Honestly, we weren't that close as a first day of school but as the school went on they got to know me better and I'm the only one that grew up far away from here (since everyone else is from CDO).

I didn't have money at the time. I was about to depend on my family. Got my allowance and payment for all the bills from my parents. Like I said you, I'm the person who is not picky about anything, no matter what clothes or food or things. It was fine for me not to have my birthday because I knew I couldn't buy anything.

I have this friend, also a classmate. And she is of our friends who are quite rich ( she had a job at that point ) so I did not want to make her obligation but she wanted to celebrate my birthday in this way. I did not want her to spend money but another friend of mine looked like she might die if she did not get to eat, as she loves to eat so much.

I agreed since my friend suggested that I do it. Who was I to say no? You know people with large salaries only think they can afford anything because money will run out. So, we went to Jollibee to celebrate my birthday, my word, I literally did not pay for anything that day, my friends honestly paid for everything.

Have others ever treated you like this where they give you something and seek nothing in return? Personally, I have a really hard time accepting that anyone is doing me a favor because it feels like I owe them for their generosity. I really am not able to help but think that for nearly every type of service people do for you, it costs you something.

We all enjoyed my party. There was a game we were playing a lot eating in restaurant we used to it.
