💊💉Sterilization of surgical instruments using autoclave💉💊
Hello,
I have always been sharing food recipes and handmade things. Today, I will talk about the equipment used in the hospital. It is very important to sterilize surgical instruments in hospitals and clinic. If surgical instruments used for one patient are not sterilized and used for another, there is a high risk of infection. It is necessary to disinfect not only surgical instruments, but also gauze, cotton and gloves.
When sterilizing the materials used in the operating room, you can either boil them in hot water or burn them. Today I will talk about sterilization equipment using air pressure. That equipment is called an autoclave. My teacher ordered it from China. I have also shown the picture of that autoclave above. It costs about 1,400 Chinese yuan. I will now explain how the autoclave works.
First, I thoroughly weighed the used surgical instruments and put them into a bowl. I also wrapped that bowl with a white cloth.
There are two compartments inside the autoclave. In the first compartment, water must be added. When adding water, you only need to add 3 liters of water.
Then I added another panel to it. There is a small circle in one corner of that panel as shown in the picture. It is necessary to keep it touching the surface of the bowl.
Then I put a bowl wrapped in white linen into it. Covered the lid. You can see in the picture that there is a string at the bottom of the cover that you have to insert into the small circle in the middle.
Then I carefully closed the lid until it was tight. It is important to close the lid tightly as air pressure will be used to sterilize it. First, I turned off auto on the cover and turned it on to manual.
After about 15 minutes, a sound like boiling water will come out. When I reached that time, I closed the manual. From the time it was closed, the instruments began to be sterilized. As shown in the picture, the pressure will rise and fall. It should be kept like that for 45 or 30 minutes.
After 45 minutes you have to cut the electricity. After that, you can't open the lid of the autoclave because there is still pressure inside. So after 45 minutes I turned on both the auto and manual settings on the lid. When you open it, a lot of air will come out. It needs to be kept like this until the pressure reaches 0.
Now we have sterilized surgical instruments. I think that not only surgical instruments but also instruments used in nail salons should be sterilized. Only then, I think it will be safer for customers. What do you think?
You'll notice I'm missing these days. I would also like to spend time at the ASEAN Hive every day. However, the country I live in continues to have internal wars. These days, in the state where I live, the war is more fierce. As a result, people in our area were not only cut off from phone lines, but also from internet and wifi. Today, some wifi lines have been restored, but the phone lines are still cut. I will try to post every day when I have wifi. Thank you.
