Visual Sunday - Monomad Challenge

Finally, a beautiful sunny day arrived. It had to be such a radiant and peaceful Sunday after a week of battling a bad flu and lots of rain. I hadn't really left the house as usual, but this day was a must. So I grabbed my camera and went out to explore the streets, searching for the kind of images I love to capture. The city was a bit deserted, yet it retained the same essence of what one can see.

Just as I said before, and as these photos show, this is a reflection of how the day was: empty streets and surroundings. The few people I captured for these compositions were simply passing by, almost involuntarily. But hey, everyone has their own intentions. What matters to me is being able to appreciate everything I see with my eyes and capture it with my camera.

In some images, I also use a play of contrast and shadows, as I often do in my black and white photos. It's my usual routine, and now that I've recovered from that blessed flu, I can finally take this coming week to take my photographs as usual.

All photographs are my own work.

Some incredible photographs, especially the photograph of the birds and the cat in the shadows, which I think are perfect. Excellent work, my friend, it's always a pleasure to see your photos!
