Rain, people and surroundings - Monomad Challenge
Here are some photographic postcards from my last trip to Ciudad Bolívar, Bolívar State, Venezuela, a place characterized by its ancient architecture and its setting nestled between the mighty Orinoco River. However, this time, my focus was more on the people in the scene, taking advantage of those elements in the background, which of course lend weight to these images I captured that day. It was a very cloudy day with a light rain, but in the end, it didn't matter for what I wanted to do.
Although right now, I'm recovering from a cold that was possibly due to the day I got wet from the rain, it didn't matter; it was all worth it. However, there were still some activities left to do on that trip. Perhaps later we'll travel again to do those activities and continue searching for those scenes I love to photograph.
Although something I could see in these images, certainly due to the weather conditions, gave a touch of nostalgia to the different scenes: those gray tones were more toned down when composing. Of course, I had to use higher settings so the images wouldn't come out dark, in a place where there's usually a lot of sun and intense heat that can be overwhelming for anyone who visits.
All photographs are my own.
Hermosas vistas, sobre todo las que dejan ver al mar 🥰
