Today I'm on my way back to the city where I live, and since I still have about 12 hours of travel ahead of me, I've taken the time to make this post, which is mainly about the facades of different churches in the state of Carabobo, Venezuela. Like the rest of the country, this state has a strong Catholic presence, a legacy of the Spanish colonial era. And of course, these buildings, mostly constructed in a colonial style, are a common sight, though there are a few exceptions that break with that architectural pattern.

There are countless churches throughout Carabobo, but just exploring parts of the cities of Valencia and Naguanagua reveals many, all with different styles but all stemming from the same aesthetic. I'm not actually a believer, although I was raised Catholic. However, I do enjoy appreciating the architecture of the churches. I always say they have shapes like spaceships if you look at them from a certain perspective, but they are undoubtedly part of our architectural, historical, and cultural heritage.
