Nature without color

I love taking photographs of nature and its countless species in black and white, without their natural colors. This allows me to see a different perspective of nature, defined within a framework where everything stands out more in its own contrast and texture. It's also about finding that balance of harmony between the lightest and darkest tones; that's essentially what gives these images their magic.

Of course, in many of these scenes, the light is limited because there are many trees that prevent the full sunlight from entering. But it's from that remaining light that one uses to focus on the subjects. Therefore, it's partial light, but sufficient for this type of composition. In general, in these situations, I tend to increase the ISO, but in reality, that small ray of light that does enter is strong and therefore enough.

For me, these photographs represent a bit of that aesthetic of beautiful nature captured in black and white. It's about visualizing the environment to understand its forms in order to understand and harmonize those subjects within the photographic frame.

All photographs are my own work.
