In recent days - Monomad Challenge

I've been back home in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, for a few days now, after spending almost 15 days in Valencia, which is like a second home to me because I studied there and also worked there for about half my life. These pictures I'm sharing today are from that trip, featuring scenes of the streets of the beautiful city of Valencia, some old and some newer, but all with the same essence of a city that moves much faster than Puerto Ordaz, where I currently live.

I really notice the differences. Valencia is a much bigger city, with many more people, which means more chaos, more cars, and so on. Puerto Ordaz, on the other hand, is smaller and less hectic. However, Puerto Ordaz is located in Bolívar State, the largest state in Venezuela, a province that could encompass about 20 parts of Carabobo State, where Valencia is located.

On the other hand, you can feel the difference in people and their lifestyles. Despite being part of the same country, there will always be a difference in how people live; in short, it's like living in other countries. This, along with the distinct idiomatic expressions that are very noticeable among the inhabitants of these cities, makes up a lot of my time in Valencia.

All photographs are my own.
