Gray Monday - Monomad Challenge

Today was one of those days that felt a little strange, perhaps also because of the weather itself, or perhaps even other people felt the same. A dull day with that gray tone as if it were about to rain but in the end, not a drop fell. However, I went out to see what shots I could capture for this day, and to tell the truth, I didn't find much. Sometimes I think I've given myself too much thought that it must be sunny to find these images, or perhaps it's just a bit of apathy on my part on days like these, but anyway, I put out this series where I show a few of those human motifs on the street.

Especially for this occasion, I've photographed elderly people, who are very popular in the area where I live. A while ago, most of the young people in my country went abroad, leaving many elderly people alone at home. Perhaps some of the people in these photos are in this situation. Therefore, they always try to get out of their homes in the afternoon, even if it's just to chat with other people, and regardless of the weather, they still leave their homes.

Some spend their afternoons chatting, others even relax all afternoon, or some simply walk around, taking in the scenery. In any case, they seek to live out on the streets, to escape that confinement they feel, perhaps due to loneliness or some other reason.
