For a small light - Monomad Challenge
Today I'm once again sharing this photoshoot I did yesterday, but with the difference that these are other black and white shots. Yesterday, all the ones I showed were composed in color with the same motifs of my cats. But today I'm also adding my dog, Brandy, as part of this session for today. It's the same principle: some of those details of illuminated parts of my pets, thanks to that small ray of light that enters my apartment's main window.
Due to the location of the building, and specifically the apartment where I live, there isn't much natural light. However, during the mornings between 8 and 10 am, some rays of sunlight usually enter, so I usually take advantage of the opportunity to take some photos with my pets. Sometimes they are drawn to that light and pose right where it shines, perfectly creating that setting, as I show in this post.
Of course, the surroundings captured in these scenes appear dark or partially dark because, despite it being daytime, the light entering the living room area of the apartment is very low. Even so, at higher camera settings, the images tend to come out very dark, unless I used the flash. However, I'm not really that big of a fan of using flash, so I prefer bright, natural light. That's how I took these photos and how I show them from the black and white perspective we all love.
All photographs are my own.
