For a flash of light

It's just a small glimmer of light that I needed for these photographs I'm sharing with everyone. The subjects we can see are plants, and due to the low-light conditions of the surroundings, I still took advantage of some of those plants where the light was directed. It's a wooded area with many large trees, and therefore, the light is reduced by the trees themselves. However, there's always a small amount of light that points toward certain plants or some details of the natural surroundings.

On the other hand, I thought it was perfect to create that contrast of these black and white subjects, so that those details are more noticeable. An almost entirely dark environment and a partially illuminated subject, as can be seen in each of these images in this post, are also a way to balance or create harmony within the frame.

I captured all of these images during a visit to one of the city's natural parks, where there is a great diversity of vegetation, especially large expanses of jungle-like forested areas. Taking advantage of the daylight and those small glimpses in the forest, I took advantage of the constant rain for almost several weeks, until this week, when it was very sunny and perfect for taking pictures and, above all, visiting these parks.

A very interesting idea for photos. This contrast really highlights the shapes of the plants beautifully and gives them a completely different meaning. Great job.

This is my favorite one:
