City in gray feelings (photography)

A gray day between cloudy skies and deserted streets, with little activity from people, but some going out into the streets under different realities. Some spend the day enjoying themselves or sharing time, while others just spend the day as another part of their survival in the face of the situations that many people face, whether they're homeless or because their circumstances are predisposed to desperation and the lack of basic necessities.

This is how I can initially describe these photographs, where the same day is given that dull touch by the different scenes captured. I partly show people living in extreme poverty, a situation that, sadly, I wouldn't want to see more of in my country or any other country. But it is the way it is, and things are getting worse every time. On the other hand, you can see people going about their daily routine or in circumstances that are more suited to their reality. Of course, I can't know what's going on in each person's head, but sometimes we see what's happening in the images and we get an idea.

On the other hand, you can see how the weather, apart from the desolation of a city due to other circumstances, makes it possible for everything to turn into grayer feelings, more subdued moments, a bit of nostalgia, and perhaps sadness. It's part of the language of the different photographs displayed in this publication, and of course, in black and white, it reinforces that idea or feeling even more when you look at the photos. Well, this isn't the style I like to capture, but this day was like that, and I let myself be more carried away by what I was seeing.

It's all part of the magic of photography, where everything can generate different feelings, for better or worse. It's part of this visual world and everything that can be happening, while the viewer is drawn to reflection in the face of any circumstance and debates what is happening.
