Between matte tones and black and white

For this occasion, I'm showing you this series of photographs, some in matte tones and others in black and white. These matte tones, which are softer and somewhat muted, are a bit like vintage images—well, that's how I perceive them—but without losing the characteristic color traits of each of the subjects. They're all different from each other, but with the same goal: to find a sense of harmony within the photographic frame.

As you can see, the subjects are primarily close-ups of one of my dogs' faces, where you can perceive the softened dark tones of her fur. The aim was also to capture the essence of her face, because animals can express emotions and feelings that can be captured through photography. Other photos are of nature, including birds. In one instance, the goal is to capture their movement, but also the contrast of the black and white applied to them.

The rest is a bit of that routine photography exercise, where you're always trying to refine your visual sense, or how you see things—those details in absolutely everything, your surroundings and what you understand within them.
