A part of San Joaquín - Carabobo

On my last trip to Carabobo State, Venezuela, despite having a very busy schedule and only being there for a few days, I took the opportunity to visit other towns in the state that I had always heard about but had never visited during all the time I lived in Carabobo. So, on this occasion, I had the chance to visit San Joaquín, which is about 40 minutes from the city of Valencia. Yes, it was very close, but the closest I had ever been to this town before was when I visited a housing development called La Pradera a few times, or when I passed by the highway that usually runs alongside the town.

It's a typical Venezuelan town, characterized by mostly older houses, some in colonial style and others more modern. It also has a Bolívar Square and a church, which I found beautiful and clean, perfect for anyone who wants to learn more about these towns or for locals who simply want to spend some time in the square.

San Joaquin has always been known for the Polar food company, one of the largest in Venezuela in that sector. Consequently, they have a large industrial facility in the San Joaquin area, and this has always been the mainstay of the local economy. Many residents work there, although the economy also includes other sectors such as commerce and even a bit of tourism.

Of course, there are many things I could imagine there is to see in this place, but due to the limitations of my activities that day, it was enough for me to explore its streets. I walked from the entrance of the town to the main square and what could be considered the town center. Along the way, I appreciated well-maintained colonial buildings, clean streets, and the proximity of many shops and restaurants.

From Bolívar Square, looking up, I noticed a hill where I could see some kind of structure, perhaps a temple or something similar, as well as a perfectly marked path. I'd love to climb that path someday and get a view of the town from above, to appreciate an endless panorama of the entire town and its surroundings. This is very characteristic of the state's geography, nestled among many mountains, hills, and vast valleys.

Without a doubt, the entire state of Carabobo is home to countless beautiful towns steeped in history and boasting magnificent architecture. They are all easily accessible because they are so close together. Carabobo is a small state, yet it has a high population density, resulting in a well-developed infrastructure for exploring many of these towns, from coastal towns like Morón and Puerto Cabello to valley towns like Bejuma and Montalbán, each with its own unique character, beauty, and magic.
