Un paseo por "La Víbora"// Visitando a mi tía (Es-En)

Hola amigos, para el paseo de hoy les propongo conocer los alrededores del barrio de mi tía Damaris. Este paseo ocurrió hace dos semanas, cuando estaba de vacaciones en La Habana, recuerdo que fue el mismo día que fui al zoológico y que decidimos llegarnos hasta la casa de mi tía para visitarla y además para que mi esposo la ayudara con su nuevo celular.

Hello friends, for today's walk I propose you to get to know the surroundings of my aunt Damaris' neighborhood. This walk took place two weeks ago, when I was on vacation in Havana, I remember it was the same day I went to the zoo and we decided to go to my aunt's house to visit her and also for my husband to help her with her new cell phone.

Mi tía vive en el municipio habanero "10 de octubre", en La Víbora. En esa zona las calles se caracterizan por ser bastante anchas y me gusta que hayan bastantes árboles que aportan aire puro y bastante sombra.

My aunt lives in the Havana municipality "10 de octubre", in La Víbora. In that area the streets are characterized by being quite wide and I like that there are many trees that provide fresh air and plenty of shade.

Desde el lugar que nos dejó el autobús fui tomando fotos hasta llegar a casa de mi tía. Vi cosas muy bonitas e interesantes en el camino. Lo primero que me llamó la atención fue la Casa de la Cultura del municipio, es una construcción antigua y muy bonita. Su entrada parece sacada de una novela romántica, muy impresionante, aunque con un poco de mantenimiento el lugar quedaría mucho más bello.

From the place where the bus dropped us off I took pictures until I got to my aunt's house. I saw very nice and interesting things on the way. The first thing that caught my attention was what we call "The house of culture" of the municipality (a place that promotes cultural activities and helps children and teenagers develop their skills in art), it is an old and very beautiful building. Its entrance looks like something out of a romantic novel, very impressive, although with a little maintenance the place would be much more beautiful.

En la pared de la casa que queda antes de este lugar pude ver algunos grafitis. Pero en realidad lo que más me gustó fue el muro de su parte derecha, pues está pintado con colores que resaltan y atraen la vista de todo el que pasa por ahí. Desde ese ángulo se puede apreciar mejor el costado de la Casa de la Cultura, que de verdad me pareció una construcción impresionante y se ve que es antigua, lo que le da un valor histórico además.

On the wall of the house before this place I could see some graffiti. But what I really liked the most was the wall on the right side, because it is painted with colors that stand out and attract the eye of everyone who passes by. From that angle you can better appreciate the side part of the place, which I really thought was an impressive construction and you can see that it is old, which gives it a historical value as well.

Al frente de esta calle también hay algunas casas pintadas, supongo que todo está relacionado con promover el arte. El mural es bastante grande, es una pena que no pude disfrutarlo completo, pues ese día estaban haciendo una feria y habían varios puestos de venta.

In front of this street there are also some houses painted, I guess it is all related to promote art. The mural is quite large, it is a pity that I could not enjoy it completely, because that day they were doing a fair and there were several stalls.

Como hay cosas bonitas también las hay no tanto, ejemplo es esta casa en ruinas, que está irónicamente al cruzar la calle del mural colorido. Por una parte puro arte y por otro, la realidad que se vive en La Habana, donde hay muchas casas y edificios en estas condiciones y no se hace nada para repararlos.

As there are beautiful things there are also not so beautiful things, an example is this house in ruins, which is ironically across the street from the colorful mural. On the one hand pure art and on the other hand, the reality of Havana, where there are many houses and buildings in this condition and nothing is done to repair them.

Más adelante hay una hermosa catedral, su arquitectura es muy impresionante, me gustó mucho el nivel de detalle que tiene, sobre todo en las dos torres. Las ventanas de cristal altas y en el medio una estatua de la virgen. Definitivamente es una construcción digna de admirar.

Further on there is a beautiful cathedral, its architecture is very impressive, I really liked the level of detail it has, especially in the two towers. The tall glass windows and in the middle a statue of the virgin. It is definitely a construction worth admiring.

Ya casi llegando a la calle de mi tía vimos varios negocios de cafeterías que me resultaron muy agradables a la vista, una buena opción para disfrutar de un café o una rica merienda y a la vez un lugar ameno para conversar con amigos.

Almost arriving to my aunt's street, we saw several coffee shops that I found very pleasant to look at, a good option to enjoy a coffee or a delicious snack and at the same time a pleasant place to chat with friends.

Mi tía nos recibió con mucha alegría y nos invitó a una taza de café. Se puso muy contenta pues mi esposo pudo ayudarla a pasar la información de su viejo celular para el nuevo y además, le instaló las aplicaciones que necesitaba. Otra cosa que me gustó de la visita fue poder ver a mi bisabuela, que tiene 93 años y es una persona muy noble y dulce. Siempre tiene una sonrisa en su cara y le gusta estar presumida, con sus uñas pintadas y su reloj siempre exacto.

My aunt received us with great joy and invited us for a cup of coffee. She was very happy because my husband was able to help her transfer the information from her old cell phone to the new one and also installed the applications she needed. Another thing I liked about the visit was being able to see my great-grandmother, who is 93 years old and is a very noble and sweet person. She always has a smile on her face and likes to have her nails painted.

En el camino de regreso a casa nos encontramos un parque bastante grande, donde los niños pueden jugar libremente y también hay aparatos para hacer ejercicio físico, pero como siempre me llamaron mucho la atención los grafitis.

On the way back home we found a fairly large park, where children can play freely and there is also equipment for physical exercise, but as always the graffiti caught my attention.

Fue un bonito paseo con muchas cosas interesantes que ver y la pasé bien visitando a mi tía y a mi bisabuela. Espero que hayan disfrutado el paseo, tengan un bonito día todos 🤗.
