Yesterday, we had the opportunity to venture outside Chiang Mai city; it was about an hour's car ride to this San Kamphaeng Hot Springs, Mae On District, Chiang Mai. Ordinarily, it would simply be a regular Chiang Mai Thai-style hot spring where one could soak their feet, enjoy the warmth, and perhaps take a hot spring bath. However, this was no ordinary visit as a special festival 'Vijitr@Chiangmai' that only occurs once a year was being held.

I was fortunate to have friends who actively look for activities around Chiang Mai. They suggested this adventure and kindly invited me to join. Another stroke of luck was that another friend who came along is a professional photographer. He previously worked in the film industry and as a photographer, equipped with a fancy $100,000 camera combining gimbal and AI technology. This resulted in us capturing a good few shots.

In this post, I'm not sharing the footage he filmed (I will though! Wait for it!), but rather the still photos he took using phones combined with my own snaps as well.

The festival's lighting enhanced these shots, making them look quite impressive. Ordinarily, this would just be a regular hot spring, but the lighting, performances, and other elements transformed it into a magical hot spring experience.

If you happen to be in Chiang Mai during VIJITR @ CHIANG MAI, Myriad of Colors of the Light Line, San Kamphaeng Hot Springs, The Royal Initiative Project, it's really good for some snap shots!
