Independence Day and Memorable Moments .My Actifit Report Card: August 14 2025

Asslam o alikum and hello to my all dear friends #actifit cummunity members.

I am fine and I hope all dear friends will be fine.
August 14 is the most important day in the history of Pakistan. This is the day when we got an independent country as a result of the sacrifices and struggles of our elders. Every year this day is not only celebrated as a national festival but every Pakistani has a different fragrance and emotion of this day in their heart.

August 14 this year was also special for me. I opened my eyes at around nine in the morning. Since it was a special day, I felt a strange excitement in my heart as soon as I woke up. I had a quick breakfast and then went straight to the roof of my house. As soon as I reached the top, a beautiful scene awaited me a light rain was falling in the sky, cool winds were blowing in the air and the fragrance of raindrops was soothing to the heart. I stood there for some time and enjoyed this rain.
When I looked around, I saw that every house was beautifully decorated. Green and white flags, banners and colorful lights were visible everywhere. Green crescent flags were proudly waving on people's houses. This scene was creating more patriotism in my heart.

After some time, I came down and sat with my family and discussed the rest of the day's program. Everyone decided that we would go to the Wagah border and enjoy the celebrations and parade there. We all got ready quickly, wore green and white clothes, and got into the car and left for the Wagah border. My nephew, niece and the rest of the family were with me, happiness and enthusiasm were clearly visible on everyone's faces.As soon as I reached the Wagah border, my heart was filled with joy to see the atmosphere there. Slogans of Pakistan Zindabad were echoing everywhere. People were waving flags, singing along with the national anthem. We saw the parade in which the style and enthusiasm of the soldiers were noticeable. There was such a passion on the faces of the people that only exists for Pakistan. This scene fills the heart with pride and reminds us of how great a blessing freedom is.
We stood there and took pictures, the children bought flags, and everyone participated in this national enthusiasm. These moments were not only filled with joy but also brought with them an emotional feeling of how lucky we are to live in a free country.

We returned home at around 7 pm. Another joy awaited us as soon as we reached home. It was my nephew Zain’s birthday, and everyone had a party together for him. The cake was cut, everyone congratulated each other happily, and the children made a lot of noise. The atmosphere of the house became more cheerful with laughter, jokes, and conversations.

For dinner, a delicious biryani was prepared, the aroma of which drew everyone to the dining table. Everyone ate together, and thus the day ended with happiness and memorable moments.

This 14th of August will always be memorable for me. On that day, I felt the joy of freedom, the joy of rain, the national spirit, and precious moments with family all at once. Days like these remind us that we should not only cherish our freedom but also be always ready to protect it.
