While I was recovering in the last year and a half, there were ups and downs, but now, looking back, everything takes time to heal. Our body is an amazing combination of chemicals, full of complex but yet, very effective system to survive, with the help of modern knowledge and advanced medicine.

Therefore I not only learned, but can also feel the process it takes to come back to life, back to shape, back to strength, while being able to take a simple small step forward and a deep, fresh, slow breath in.

While in the long recovery I did fall in the circle of my old addictions, which were a mix of videogames, tv series and procrastinating. Therefore as I started getting active back in my life, taking control of my life, I started looking for new hobbies, one of them was also joining a club.

As mentioned in one of my previous post's I joined a local modular club RCDC where we drive, bash, drift and slide together with like minded enthusiast's for cars, adrenalin and petrol heads like myself.

On Saturday evening I went on a visit, to say hello to the club members at the garage, where they invited me to go check out club's new racetrack that we were allowed to drive on, if we take care of it, fix it and respect the owners land.

This was my first time really driving on the off road built race circuit. At first I was amazed at the quality and the length of the race track for off road rc buggies. Almost in the middle of the fields, while neighbors on the other side of the lake were flying their Remote Controlled planes, local hikes in the beauty of the golden hour, till the sunset went behind the hills.

Went several laps, got a chance and a trust to drive an off road RC ARRMA on a 3S battery with only 50% power, so I got used to driving on the lap. While using barely 1/3 of the throttle and being a total newbie with driving such a car, was thought by other club members how to jump, how to land & how to operate the car in the air so it lands smoothly.

There were still few minor crashes, lost control, failed jumps, but with the low speed and having fun right before the sunset, I had an amazing time, without even planning.

I guess, it's simply being on the right place, at the right time, with the right people. While my Passat is getting it's engine head rebuilt in Croatia, I'm grateful to get the trust of our club members to trust me with their ˝toys˝ that are arguably more expensive in all the modified parts, than my whole car.

Soon we're planning new stuff and events with the club and I can't wait to bash and have some quality time out on the fresh air. After all the appointments at the doctors are over there's an really exciting week ahead of me with many plans, help and my car getting built back together.

Planning a lot more stuff with the RC club in the near future. There is also WRC in Croatia next week I can't wait, with the young driver Mr. Rovanpera being my favorite for sure.

There are already testing the stages in Croatia, looking wild and hoping for a pleasant weather to come.

Hope your having a great weekend as well, with much needed rest and best of health, I wish you a great, sunny Sunday full of new and exciting adventures!
