Entry For CCC's Street Art Contest #102

avatar

I could have sworn that when I saw this post Saturday, it had just been posted.
Anyway I was on my way downtown and figured once I got there I would take a walk around and see what was on display.

I spent about an hour walking around finding art. Some was hidden unless I walked near alleys. It was all great fun. My son even suggested a piece we see everytime we get near the area. I had already thought about it and said as much. That one will be posted soon.

Since I wanted to do a week of street art posting I feel I can not post them all here today on top of the fact that this is a contest. I will start with...

This is just part of the whole piece which I was not thinking of getting in one shot but took several shots of different sections. I particularly loved this section though for it's creativity.

From a distance I could not tell if it was painted or chipped to looked like this. As I got closer and touched it I realized it was actually painted. Then I turned and noticed the cave and how the wall was textured to look like a real cave.

This is the far left of the wall as opposed to the first image which was the far right.

This is the middle section. My son and I were playing around and instead of getting the last part of it I did this...

My son loved the imagery of the eyes inside the bubbles and the old TV recording screen.

I realized Sunday when I started preparing this post that I missed out on posting for the 101st edition. I won't be late for the 102nd round though. I want to thank @raj808 for inspiring this post. And unlike them I have yet to meet any artist on scene.

See this post for further details and rules.

I'm really glad to inspire you @wanderingmoon and all these pieces of street art are amazing, but my fav is the one you've chosen for the title image. The vibrancy of the reds and the more abstract nature of the art appealed to me.

Not to say I didn't like the more cartoon-style ones as well 🙂

Maybe I'll see you at the next street art competition hopefully. I'm still thinking about what to submit, but I have some amazing street art I took pics of years ago in Porto Portugal which I've never shared on hive.

P.s. I've followed your account just now so that you will show up on my feed.

It is all actually one mural. But I agree, the bat cave is what got my attention.

This is an incredible street art @wanderingmoon!
It’s rare to find one here so I am very much impressed with what you hsve found.
My favorite part would be the first one, it speaks too much details.
I like the bubbles too but it’s too colorful for me. 😅

The later pictures are more my son's style. I thought the bat cave was great.

If your son is still young, yeah it would be his preference for sure.
Not so young ones would prefer the bat cave 😂

He is also into tech so robots are one of his things. He is like me in wanting to know what makes things work. 😁😁
