Qurator's Photo Quest | Blur

Blur photography is achieved by deliberately allowing movement or by controlling the camera’s focus and depth of field to create a soft, artistic effect. Motion blur is commonly produced by using a slower shutter speed while photographing moving subjects, allowing their movement to appear as streaks or flowing shapes in the image. A blurred background can also be created with a wide aperture, which produces a shallow depth of field and keeps the main subject sharp while softly blurring everything behind it. Photographers can also move the camera during the exposure to create creative abstract effects, transforming ordinary scenes into images filled with motion, atmosphere, and emotion.
