Academic Tour & Breathtaking Heights: Our Journey Through the Stunning Campus of National University of Singapore and Mount Faber Park
Hello, Worldmappin fam! π Hope you're all doing well and having a wonderful day β¨
Weβre back on our learning journey and this was our last trip in Singapore before we went back home. This time, we visited the prestigious National University of Singapore (NUS), one of the top universities in Asia. The whole campus is so huge, approximately 150 hectares or more, and we felt privileged to see that in person.
Our academic tour was focused to the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, and what we witnessed was a beautiful mix of academic excellence and nature's wonder.
Our tour began with a warm welcome at a lecture hall that felt was comfortable and inspirational. There was a formal briefing on NUS and its varied academic programs by a faculty representative.
The talk was very informative for those contemplating higher studies, as they also mentioned the fields of specialization under the Faculty of Engineering for those considering a postgrad course. It was an eye-opening introduction that showed how committed the university is to shaping worldβs future leaders and innovators.

After the talk, we explored the campus, and it was just as impressive as what we had heard. The ground floor was open and inviting, filled with seats and tables.
Outside, the lush greenery and tall trees created a calming atmosphere. It felt like the perfect place for students to relax or focus on their studies.
The building itself has marvelous design and consisted of modern geometric designs that are a credit to the innovation that the university represents.
As we went upstairs, we were toured around their laboratories. They were lined up with modern devices and equipment like cooling towers and heat exchangers and a whole lot more. The laboratories were maintained so immaculately and neatly, reflecting how dedicated NUS is to providing students with the best that they possibly could use for research and hands-on learning.

After all the technical learning, we went for a short trip to Mount Faber Park. We caught sight of the charming Danish Seamenβs Church.

Lastly, we enjoyed a breathtaking view from the top of Henderson Waves, a bridge that connects Southern Ridges with Mount Faber. We looked out at a stunning landscape filled with trees. It was the perfect end to a day full of learning, inspiration, and discovery.
Our visit to NUS wasnβt just a campus tour. It was an inspiring experience that showed how academic excellence, innovation, and nature can come together smoothly. It reminded us that the best places to learn expand your mind while also nourishing your body and soul.

A vast campus for sure! The bridge you were standing on-how far of a drop was it to the ground below? It looks pretty far up there, but the view is spectacular! Thanks for sharing sis!π€β€οΈπ»
I appreciate the compliment on the view sis! π And yes, Henderson waves is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It's 36 meters high π Thanks for asking that one sis, it's a very helpful information...I should've also included that in the write-up π π π Hope you have a lovely day! π€π·β¨
That's a super tall bridge!! π³π³π³ Hopefully, the railings were high to keep people from accidentally going over the edge! Yikes! Thanks for answering the question sis! Take care and have a lovely day!π€β€οΈ
