The Twilight City

Barquisimeto, city of orderly numbered streets and singing accent, has captivated me from the first moment I met it. I have considered it my home for five years now, a haven of peace after having lived in two other cities in the country. Its freshness, so different from the hustle and bustle of the capital, made me fall in love immediately.😜

From my apartment, I have a privileged view of Las Trinitarias Shopping Center, a place I frequent regularly and where I had the opportunity to work for some years. However, what really captivates me about the view from my balcony is not the mall or the buildings rising in the distance, but the spectacle unfolding overhead.

Around six o'clock in the evening, one of the most beautiful natural phenomena I have ever witnessed begins to form. If the sky is clear, the magic becomes reality. The sun tints the sky with a palette of vibrant colors: intense oranges, subtle pinks and deep violets. It's a sight I can't help but contemplate, absorbed in the peace and tranquility it conveys.

At first, the first time I witnessed this twilight spectacle, I was stunned, as if it were an unreal work of art. Since then, I have become addicted to these sunsets, understanding why Barquisimeto proudly bears the title of "The Twilight City". 🌆

Barquisimeto, with its dreamy sunsets, reminds me of the importance of finding beauty in the everyday. It is an invitation to live with greater awareness, to be grateful for the small details that make life an extraordinary experience.
