Monomad | Pravčická Gate * Pravčická brána

Hello.
During our visit to Pravčická Gate, we were unexpectedly struck by the sight of charred tree remains. Fortunately, three years after the fire, new vegetation is beginning to take hold. One benefit for visitors is that the rock formations are now much easier to see—similar to how bare trees reveal the landscape in winter.
The photos are striking both in color and, perhaps even more so, in shades of gray.

Při naší návštěvě Pravčické brány nás zaujali trochu nečekaně ohořelé zbytky stromů.
Naštěstí se nová vegetace, tři roky po požáru hlásí o slovo. Výhodou pro návštěvníky snad může být to, že skalní útvary jsou mnohem lépe vidět, něco, jako v zimě stromy bez listí.
Fotky jsou působivé jak v barvě, tak hlavně v odstínech šedi.

And, of course, Pravčická Gate—the largest natural sandstone arch in Europe—remains the jewel of Bohemian Switzerland. A Pravčická brána, která je největší pískovcovou skalní bránu v Evropě, je perlou Českého Švýcarska.
