Separate Planet Glass Terrace ~ Ayrı Gezegen Cam Teras
Yes friends, today is Separate Planet Glass Terrace! Separate Planet Glass Terrace is located in Kartepe, Kocaeli's most beautiful district with a very high altitude. First of all, I would like to tell you about Kocaeli - Gebze. Kocaeli is a city that I can call the heart of industry and neighbor to Istanbul in Turkey. This city and Gebze, which meets a large part of its population density, receives immigration every year. I think a large part of these migrations is labor migration due to the variety of job opportunities. When I was in high school and university, I used to go to Gebze every summer and work. I know all this from the times when I was in Gebze, when I went both to travel and to work. Even if I'm just starting to explore it slowly, there are so many beautiful natural wonders to visit in and around Kocaeli... Local and foreign tourists like me also visit this city to see its beauties. Here we are on one of those visits I went to travel. It took me about an hour and a half to drive from Gebze to Glass Terrace. Actually, I like to linger on the road and enjoy the beauties that come my way. Although the map you see below predicts that the journey will take a shorter time, I stopped my car from time to time and enjoyed the view. As you can see in the photos after the map, I did not neglect to take pictures of the scenery that I enjoyed. The body of water you see in these photos is Lake Sapanca. It looks beautiful doesn't it? If you want, let's climb the mountain a little higher and look at the lake from higher up.
Evet arkadaşlar, bugün günlerden Ayrı Gezegen Cam Teras! Ayrı Gezegen Cam Teras, Kocaeli'nin en güzel ve rakım açısından oldukça yüksek ilçesi olan Kartepe'de bulunuyor. Öncelikle size Kocaeli - Gebze'den bahsetmek istiyorum. Kocaeli, Türkiye'de İstanbul'a komşu ve sanayinin kalbi diyebileceğim bir şehir. Bu şehir ve ve nüfus yoğunluğunun büyük bir kısmını karşılayan Gebze her yıl göç alıyor. Bu göçlerin sanırım büyük bir kısmını iş imkanlarının çeşitli olmasından kaynaklı işçi göçü oluşturuyor. Ben lisedeyken ve üniversitedeyken her yaz Gebze'ye gidip çalışıyordum. Tüm bunları da hem gezmek için hem de çalışmak için gittiğim ve Gebze'de bulunduğum zamanlardan biliyorum. Ben henüz yavaş yavaş keşfetmeye başlasam bile Kocaeli'nde ve çevresinde gezilecek o kadar güzel doğa harikaları var ki... Benim gibi yerli ve pek tabii yabancı turistler de bu şehri ve güzelliklerini görmek için ziyaret ediyor. İşte gezmek için gittiğim o ziyaretlerin birindeyiz. Gebze'den Cam Teras'a arabayla gitmem yaklaşık bir buçuk saat sürdü. Aslında ben yolda oyalanmayı ve karşıma çıkan güzelliklerden keyif almayı seviyorum. Aşağıda gördüğünüz haritada yolculuğun daha kısa süreceği öngörülse de ben zaman zaman arabamı durdurup manzaranın keyfini çıkardım. Haritadan sonraki fotoğraflarda gördüğünüz gibi keyfini çıkardığım manzaranın fotoğraflarını da çekmeyi ihmal etmedim. Bu fotoğraflarda gördüğünüz su kütlesi Sapanca Gölü. Çok güzel görünüyor değil mi? İsterseniz dağı biraz daha tırmanalım ve göle daha yüksekten bakalım.
When I arrived at the Separate Planet Glass Terrace, I was met with a very wide parking area to park my car. Employees at the Glass Terrace also help you park your car. After I parked my car, I saw that there is a lot of activity here. Trampolines, ATVs, climbing track and zippline that will make your adrenaline go up to the ceiling are some of them... Who wouldn't want to do these activities through the trees and against the view...
Ayrı Gezegen Cam Teras'a vardığımda arabamı park etmek için çok geniz bir park alanı ile karşılaştım. Cam Teras'ta çalışanlar da arabanızı park etmeniz için yardım ediyorlar. Arabamı park ettinten sonra burada bir sürü etkinliğin olduğunu gördüm. Trambolinler, ATV'ler, tırmanış parkuru ve adrenalin hormonlarınızı tavan yaptıracak zippline bunlardan bazıları... Ağaçların arasından ve manzaraya karşı bu etkinlikleri kim yapmak istemez ki...
I was amazed by the architecture and design of this place. It draws people in. I think I could live in these trees and here. LoL :)
Buranın mimarisine, tasarımına hayran kaldım. İnsanı içine çekiyor. Sanırım bu ağaçlarda ve burada yaşayabilirdim. LoL :)
Before going up to the Glass Terrace, a turnstile and a cashier greet you. I bought the entrance token by paying 20 Turkish Lira (approximately 2 Hive) to the cashier. I threw the coin into the turnstile and went inside. After climbing a few more stairs, here I was on the Glass Terrace. One of the first things that caught my eye was the virtual world platform. I think they give you the experience of walking on the Glass Terrace in 9D. The second thing that caught my eye was the colorful parrots. Employees here take your picture with the parrots for a fee and instantly deliver it to you.
Cam Teras'a çıkmadan önce sizi bir turnike ve vezne karşılıyor. Vezneye 20 Türk Lirası(yaklaşık 2 Hive) ödeyerek giriş jetonu satın aldım. Jetonu turnikeye attım ve içeri geçtim. Birkaç daha merdiven basamağı çıktıktan sonra işte Cam Teras'taydım. Gözüme çarpan ilk şeylerden biri sanal dünya platformu oldu. Sanırım 9D olarak Cam Teras'ta gezme deneyimi yaşatıyorlar. gözüme çarpan ikinci şey ise rengarenk papağanlar oldu. Burada çalışanlar belli bir ücret karşılığında papağanlarla fotoğrafınızı çekiyor ve anında size teslim ediyorlar.
On the other side, the drone and camera were recording. The drone belongs to one of the staff there and it offers a tremendous experience by viewing you and your friends with the drone, and moreover, viewing the landscape from much higher, if you wish. You can also save drone footage to your phone and access the images instantly. There was also a cameraman and an announcer, whom I thought were shooting for a foreign channel. I didn't understand their language but it was clear they were there to promote the Glass Terrace. However, I saw that they tried very hard until the shooting was over. It is really difficult to shoot professionally in such crowded places.

Drone orada çalışanlardan birine ait ve isterseniz siz ve arkadaşlarınızı drone ile çekerek ve dahası manzarayı çok daha yüksekten görüntüleyerek muazzam bir deneyim sunuyor. Drone çekimlerini de sizin telefonunuza kaydediyor ve anında görüntülere ulaşabiliyorsunuz. Bir de yabancı bir kanala çekim yaptıklarını düşündüğüm kameraman ve spiker vardı. Dillerini anlamıyordum ancak Cam Teras'ı tanıtmak için orada oldukları belliydi. Ancak çekim bitene kadar çok uğraştıklarını gördüm. Böyle kalabalık yerlerde profesyonel bir çekim yapmak gerçekten de çok zor.
Before we set foot on the Glass Terrace, an attendant handed me overshoes. I think this application was to prevent the glass floors on the terrace from getting dirty. I love it. The terrace consisted of 11 steel columns placed horizontally. Yes, I was not lazy and counted. Apart from these steel columns, there were 7 steel columns placed transversely on the terrace and in addition many support columns. Apart from all these, there were several layers of glass on the floor of the terrace. Although this glass was very thick, it did not interfere with viewing. So you feel safe and you can enjoy the view. I love such interesting structures from an architectural point of view. A glass structure hundreds of meters high, the extension of the Saman Mountains below you and its beautiful greenery, Sapanca Lake on your left... Here, architectural and engineering disciplines lead us to see these beauties. Building such structures is architectural madness. :)
Cam Teras'a ayak basmadan önce bir görevli galoş verdi. Bu uygulama sanırım terasta bulunan cam tabanların kirlenmemesi içindi. Bunu sevdim. Teras yatay olarak yerleştirilmiş 11 adet çelik kolonlardan oluşuyordu. Evet, üşenmedim ve saydım. Bu çelik kolonların dışında terasta enlemesine yerleştirilen 7 adet çelik kolon ve ek olarak bir sürü destek kolonu bulunuyordu. Tüm bunların dışında terasın tabanında bilmem kaç katlı cam bulunuyordu. Bu cam çok kalın olmasına rağmen görüntüleme açısından engel teşkil etmiyordu. Yani hem güvende hissediyorsunuz hem de manzaranın tadını çıkarabiliyorsunuz. Mimari açıdan böyle enteresan yapıları çok seviyorum. Yüzlerce metre yükseklikte camdan bir yapı, altınızda Samanlı Dağları'nın uzantısı ve güzelim yeşillikleri, solunuzda Sapanca Gölü... İşte mimari ve mühendislik disiplinleri bu güzellikleri görmemize yol açıyor. Bu tür yapıları inşa etmek mimari bir deliliktir. :)
Now we come to enjoy the view. First of all, the tree here accompanies you in all landscapes. I would like to call this tree the "Tree of Life". She looks just like him. It is as if it has come from the deepest and is reaching towards the sky. Taking Sapanca Lake behind him, he greets people.
İşte şimdi geldik manzaranın tadını çıkarmaya. Öncelikle burada bulunan ağaç tüm manzaralarda size eşlik ediyor. Ben bu ağaca ''Hayat Ağacı'' adını vermek istiyorum. Tıpkı onun gibi duruyor. Sanki en derinlerden çıkagelmiş ve göğe doğru uzanıyor. Sapanca Gölü'nü de arkasına alarak insanlara selam veriyor.
It was cloudy when I was there. The wind was blowing because the altitude was high. The sun was showing its face every now and then. It was almost an opportunity for me to take beautiful pictures when the sun showed itself. There was the sound of water below. So there was a stream between these trees. The magnificent greenery and the sound of water are so peaceful... Here you are, the jungles of the Samanlı Mountains...
Orada bulunduğum sırada hava bulutluydu. Rakım yüksek olduğu için rüzgar esiyordu. Güneş arada sırada yüzünü gösteriyordu. Güneşin ortaya çıkması güzel fotoğraflar çekmem için adeta bir fırsattı. Aşağıda su sesi geliyordu. Yani bu ağaçların arasında bir akarsu vardı. Muhteşem yeşillik ve su sesi o kadar huzur verici ki... İşte burada karşınızda Samanlı Dağları'nın balta girmemiş ormanları...
As I always say, my landscape is always with me. I can say that it adds beauty with the taste of poetry to all the landscapes I see. However, I still took a lot of landscape photos for you. Here is Sapanca Lake from the perspective of the Separate Planet Glass Terrace. :)

Okurken büyük keyif aldığım mükemmel anlatımlı bir yazı olmuş. Gebze'nin sanayisi bakımından nüfusu sürekli artıyor. Hatta kuzenimin oraya yakın olan Darıca'ya yerleşti. Cam teras'ı Karadeniz Safranbolu'daki cam terasa benzettim. Galoş kullanmalarını bende çok sevdim.
