PLAZUELA DE ILOILO

This is a famous commercial complex along Diversion Road or Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue in Iloilo City. It is well-known to both locals and foreign tourists because of its Spanish-Italian architectural design.

The place looks so festive and inviting because of the Dinagyang Festival decorations.

and the main attraction to tourists is the life-size character figures. You can see the statues of different Disney princesses, Marvel superheroes, and other famous characters. This attracts a large number of visitors, especially those with children. It was fun to look around and seeing your favorite characters.

There are different restaurants, cafes, and bars around the area but the best time to dine here is in the evening. Bands play to serenade the diners under the sparkling night lights around the center area. There is a wide part where children are free to play and run around. There were also benches if you wish to rest after a tiring photowalk around the complex.

You can also find boutiques and other retail shops. There are pharmacies and government offices. It is like a one-stop shop for all your needs.

We went there at around 9 pm, and there were still a lot of people inside and around the complex. Some people were chilling on the benches while listening to the band playing. Some were enjoying their dinner. Some were like us, walking around and taking photos. The area looks so alive and full of energy under the evening sky. 😊

It is also convenient because the big mall (SM City) is just a few meters away.

There is also PLAZUELA DOS and TRES. We hope to visit there next time. 😊
