My Tiny Underwater World: Colorful Fish and Snail Behind the Curtain of Duckweed

Today, I want to show you my favorite hobby. We have three small ponds in our backyard. They are peaceful little places where I can watch nature up close. 😊

In these ponds, we breed many kinds of small fish. We have colorful guppies, jumpy mollies, tiny tetras, and elegant angelfish. We also have apple snails that crawl slowly along the bottom and on the surface.

Let's take a look inside the pond
When you look into the water, it feels like a secret garden or more like another world.

Here is what makes our ponds special, the floating greenery. 💚

The surface of the pond is covered with tiny green plants called duckweed. They look like little green stars floating on top of the water. Think of it as a floating curtain. When you draw it, it reveals a magical world. 😀

If you look closely at the green mossy plants, you might see an apple snail. They have round, golden shells and like to munch on the greenery.

On the bottom, there are large, dark brown leaves. These leaves make the water look like tea. They give the fish a safe place to hide and rest.

When the sun shines, the water sparkles ✨ You can see the bright colors of the fish as they swim through the shadows of the plants.

Our fish are very active. In the photos, you can see a bright golden fish with a long, flowy tail. It's a guppy fish. It loves to zoom past the dark leaves. We also have black and spotted fish that blend in with the shadows. The Angel fish are usually shy and always hide. But if you'll see one, it's gonna stare back at you without blinking. Seems like it can see through your soul 😂

Sometimes, frogs visit our ponds. They camouflage with the green duckweed. They just pop their eyes out of the water. 😁

It is so relaxing to sit by the water and watch the little fish swim. Every day, there is something new to see in our three little ponds.
