My Brother's Vegetable Garden: Lady FInger, Squash, and more Hiding Behind the Bush π

"There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments." - JANET KILBURN PHILLIPS
Hello there, Hive Gardeners!!
I hope you are all having a great day π
Today, I'll be sharing my brother's vegetable garden.
--
Look at this mess π This is my brother's vegetable garden plot. He was so busy with work that he forgot about his vegetables. He asked my mom to look after his garden and his chickens, but my mom is also busy. As the only person in the family who stays at home all day, I tried to check on them.

Then, I saw this. π²
I can't identify which ones are vegetables and which ones are weeds. π€£ Ohh, my!!
But despite the overgrown weeds, I saw that the squash and lady fingers were thriving. I saw flowers from the squash plants and a few lady fingers ready to harvest. They seem healthy.

I pulled out the weeds.
Cultivated the soil around the plot.
Picked the rocks one by one.
Added a little compost and watered them.
The plants were doing well on their own, but I think I needed to do more.
--
It took me a long time to clear all the weeds, but I guess it was worth it. I got a few lady fingers as my compensation and ate them for lunch. π I'm sure my brother won't mind. I need to clear another plot, but I guess I'll just do it tomorrow.
I also saw a chili plant behind some shrubs. I forgot to take a photo because I was busy clearing the garden. There was a purple yam vine crawling on an old log. And I saw a lot more. I'll check again tomorrow, and let's see what vegetable treasures I'll find.
My brother planted a lot of vegetables and should've harvested a lot already, but he got busy. I hope he'll find time to maintain his garden soon. It's a great source of food for him and my mom.
And of course for me, π€£.
I am not good at growing vegetables; I am used to growing flowers in my garden. Helping clear and taking care of my brother's vegetable garden is quite challenging for me. But I took the challenge. I tried my best, and now, I am hoping for the best π. Hoping these vegetables will thrive more and produce more.
If anyone has any advice as to how I can help my brother's vegetable garden, please let me know. I am open to suggestions and recommendations. π
Well, that's all for now, Hivers.
I'll post an update soon if those squash, chili, and purple yam are ready for harvest π or if I find another plant hiding behind the bush. π
Take care, everyone!
