Garden Update: The Colorful Roses on My Front Porch

Welcome to my front porch 😊
For a long time, I only shared my orchids with you. I love my orchids very much. But things are changing now. My roses are taking over the porch. They are getting healthier and healthier every day. It is so nice to see them every morning. We have many colors like red, bright pink, and soft pink.

We grow our roses in plastic pots and containers. This makes it easy to move them around. For the soil, we use a special mix. We combine garden soil with compost. This helps the plants stay strong.
We also have a special way to water them. We use rice water. This is the water we use to wash the rice before we cook it. We do not throw it away. We give it to the roses and the orchids instead. They seem to like it a lot.
My mom also has a secret fertilizer. You might not believe it, but she uses urine 😅. It sounds funny, but it really works. During the summer, the heat was very strong. The sun was too hot for the plants to bear. The leaves started to fall one by one. The plants looked very sad. Then, my mom used her secret fertilizer. After she watered them with it, the roses became healthy again. They grew new leaves and many beautiful flowers. 👍
We have a few types of roses on our porch. Let me tell you about them 😉
First are the red roses. We actually have two kinds of red. One is a very dark red and the flowers are bigger. The other one is a blood red color. Right now, only the blood red ones are blooming. These flowers are very interesting. When the flower gets old and withers, it turns into a purple color. The leaves on this plant are small. When the leaves are new, they look reddish. Then they turn light green. When they are fully grown or mature, they are dark green.

Next are the bright pink roses. These are a bit smaller than the blood red roses. But here is a surprise, the leaves are actually bigger. The new leaves are light green. As they get mature, they turn into a nice dark green color.

Lastly, are the light pink roses. These roses are my favorite because they are the biggest of all. The flowers are very large and soft. The leaves are also different. They are a bit rounded. They have little grooves on the edges. Just like the others, the new leaves are light green and the mature leaves are dark green.

I am so happy with our little rose garden. It makes our house look so bright and happy. Seeing the new leaves and buds grow makes all the hard work worth it!

If I may say so, I am positively jealous of your roses, they are beautiful.
I received a yellow one, but my wife picked it up faster and brought it into the house.
I haven't tried the rice water, I could definitely try it.
Thank you.. I hope the yellow rose will grow healthy 😊

Wow! Wonderful flowers sis, This is all I want so colorful. I hope makapag tanim din ng rose flower sa garden. I amazed talaga!
Thank you so much.. Grabe din ang hardwork 😁, but amazingly, na notice ko lng, basta mga ornamental plants, pahirapan talaga sa pagpapatubo, but once stable na and healthy, kahit minsan ka nlng magbinyag.. nag thrive sila on their own.
