Surely the inhabitants of this valley have their own ancient experience, and in many ways this experience may be similar to the experience of other ethnic groups.
As far as I know Christianity, at least half of the dates of holidays are superimposed on the dates of celebrations of the peoples to whom this Christianity was later imposed. To make it easier to accept.
The customs of the local population, legends, beliefs... were also incorporated.
It is much easier for me to believe that someone adapted the wisdom of the Indians into the Bible, than vice versa - the people living in nature in harmony with themselves were imposed alien rites, traditions and celebrations.
The Christian Church has always been the richest institution in society and has never paid taxes to anyone. If I were them, I'd weave any legend of any nation into the religion to keep the order of things unchanged.
It's a beautiful place you've got around here! It will be very interesting to hunt for UFOs here! Hope to see your catch soon.
Well said. You make some good points.
Also, it's interesting what you mentioned about the natives having the belief system before the Christians... I am more an more open minded to that possibility the more I research and learn... There's some interesting theories or what some might call conspiracy theories where some people believe that where I live in the SouthWest of the United States is actually where the oldest civilizations are and that the pyramids in Egypt were actually inspired by the mounds or peoples of this area... So it certainly could be possible what you said in that the natives had these beliefs first and then the Europeans extrapolated that into their own system so to speak.
And, yes... The "Christian" empire seems to have hijacked and stolen much of it's mythology from earlier systems... So many Christians think they are the group that originated these ideas but in reality so much of that belief system came from earlier Pagans and other groups of people.
And, yes! It sure is beautiful around here! I'm super lucky to be able to spend so much time here and I can't wait to look for UFOs soon! Hopefully even tonight maybe. :) Thanks for the thoughtful response!
You expressed my point much more succinctly! History, including religion, has been rewritten countless times to suit the immediate interests of the rulers of the time. It is very difficult to find the truth, we can only guess how it was once and who exactly is the progenitor of this or that by studying numerous sources, but which of them are true we will never know.
Agreed. The longer I live the more I recognize this. I thought I had a decent understanding after researching for so much of my life and I continue to be surprised by what I learn and what seems to have been covered up... It's quite a challenge to try to figure out what's going on! Especially going back into history a ways...
The truth is beyond comprehension...
But trying to disprove it is a very exciting activity that can make a lot of discoveries!
Absoulutely! :)
