Sublimed Sunday: "Its All About Gardening Actvities"

Having a simple garden is very fun and enjoyable and its because I had a lot of vacant time because it was sunday, I decided to went at my simple garden just to checked my plants and replanting some of my Lemon-Grass here. I planning to replant many times but due to a busy situations I cannot instantly do my activities. Yesterday, was the perfect day to visit my Garden and I also checked my Dried string beans of it is ready and perfectly to plant. Planting lemon-grass cuttings takes a lot of time because it needs to removed the dry leaves and cut into equal length.

Before I went at my Simple Garden, I cooked those exotic mushrooms we've found yesterday. Every Month of August until September, lots of edible Mushrooms can found and luckily we gathered few of it. Mushroom stew is the best dish and that what I cooked Yesterday. I carefully checked those leaves and stems to see if there are no small worms hiding on it. It takes a few minutes of cooking and it really perfect for breakfast. Mushroom stew is also one of my favorite food to eat but we only eat edible mushrooms every Month of August and September.

We already have lots of lemon-grass here but my plan is to separated each stems and planted it again. This will keep multiplying producing lots of lemon-grass plants. It needs to removed this whole bunch of lemon grass and removing those dry leaves and cut it into an equal length. Good thing, we already have gardening plot so I can instantly planted it after cleaning those cuttings. I was worried because I temporarily abandoned my Garden but I came back just to clean my Garden again.

It takes almost two hours of cleaning process, and I separated the big one and the smaller one. While my Brother also busy digging more holes for my lemon-grass, And while keep myself waiting for digging I also checked some of my plants still survived in the midst of the Wild grass grows. Cleaning it is the best way so it can survived and recovered.

Finally after almost an hour of digging, I continued to plant those lemon-grass cuttings and I gently put it in the whole and covered with soil. Cultivating the surrounding soil is very important so the roots can instantly expand producing lots of Sprouts. I planted it in exact distances and I am very excited to see the good results.

I also very surprised to see thi pineapple here in my Garden. I'd planted five pineapple sprouts here but only one produced pineapple fruits. So very exciting to do first harvest of my pineapple but for now it is not yet fully harvest. I also planning to plant lots of pineapples and I will make it as a fence so animals cannot get inside because of its sharp pointed leaves. This kind of plants don't need to cultivate and it can survived in an intense heat of the sun.

My young Opo and alugbati vegetables also grows stable. Last week, I planted alugbati cuttings but my Friend suggested me to plant alugbati seeds instead. So I tried the Suggestion and it looks like it grows very well. I also observed the difference between the cuttings and seeds of alugbati and Planting the seeds are much better. Cultivating is very easy because of the sandy soil here. Checking the leaves is very important to get rid of the harmful insects like aphids.

My young String beans plants and camote vines also grows stabled. But there is a slight Garden problem I have, some of the young string beans plants are already damage because of the harmful insects like ants, ate the stems. The leaves are curled because of the insects and the stems broke down. It is very sad for me about the situations and the best way to get rid of this is to sprayed it with Water mixed with chilli peppers.

Our cassava crops continously grows and well stabled, we decided plant few cassava tubers here and after a few weeks, those cassava plants grows taller and wider. We are very excited to harvest it on the right time. Having this kind of place and activities is very happy and proud and be more productive. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.
