Farming Day With My Family

Farming or having a farm is one of the best investment in Life. We can plant, produced and earn through farming and aside of that we have lots of fresh foods to eat. Being productive is very important specially now-a-days and I am lucky to have it. For today's blog was very busy yet enjoyable day experienced with me and my Family. I have a vacant lot here in Barangay Punta Silum, and only few crops and other kinds of agricultural plants can found here and we want to added more by planting lots of crops. Yesterday, 4 in the afternoon me and my family was decided to visit the place along with my cute niece to cleared the areas where we planted cassava crops. Aside of that, we also explored and checked the entire area particularly those agricultural plants. While at the place and to keep us away from mosquitoes, we also burned the green and dry leaves to create smokes.

Almost 100 cassava crops are already planted here and it grows well stabled already. The soil here compost with acidic and it will be very perfect for the plants like Coconuts, Manggoes, Cassava and Sweet potatoes. Cultivating the soil near at the crops is very important so the roots can expand very fast. We planted this crops last Month and we are happy and proud to see it grows very healthy, and we really hope it will produced lots of crops.

We also have few manggo trees here, but sadly it does not produced fruits this year. Last fruit season this manggoe trees we have here produced lots of it in fact we sell some of it at the supermarket. My Grandma plantes this manggo trees and now we already gained the fruitful results by harvesting lots of fruits. Each corner of our vacant lot here are planted with manggo trees and it can also gives a shady areas to the place because of its wide branches.

Guyabano fruit season also happens now, and some of our Guyabano trees already produced lots of fruits. Most of it are not yet fully harvested and this kind of plant can easily to propegate and cultured. We cutted some of it so that it can produced new sprouts again. By harvesting activities, our plan for this is to make guyabano milk shake and some of it will be sell to the market place.

Last Month we harvested coconuts and we removed those husks and put it in one place. This will perfect for organic fertilizer uses. That is why we put some of the husks in the stems and wait to decayed in there. I learned This kind of farming methods at School and it is important to applied to help the plants grows very healthy.

We alsp checked our small banana planta and young coconut plants here at our place. Last week we cut those wild grass and bushes here so the plants can freely to grow. Few coconut sprouts can also seen here and some of it are already planted. Even if our place contains lots of stones, still the plants grows stable and the dry coconut palm are used as a firewoods. We experienced a slighty problem here in our place particularly our coconuts. Most of the plants are affected in the previous intense heat and only few coconut fruits we harvested that time. Well, this is very common problem here but the plants are keep surviving in the midst of the heat season.

Past few years and our fences are already covered with wild grass and vines. The fence posts are completely broke because it is only made of Bamboos, reconstructing the fence must be needed and this will be our big tasks we will did for the next day. There are lots of works waiting and we want to do it on time. Slowly but surely as long as we keeot ourselves productive and to be successfull here in the farm.
