El viaje desde Perico hasta la ciudad de Matanzas fue un tanto demorado, por la crisis que existe con el transporte en el país. Llegué a la ciudad de Matanzas a la 1 de la tarde, el tren que me trasladaría para el Oriente del país debía de pasar sobre las 7 de la noche, por lo que tendría alrededor de 6 horas libres. Este litoral tiene una vista fabulosa, las personas van hasta allí a bañarse en el mar, practican deportes, pues pueden correr a través de este largo malecón, las parejas van a enamorarse. En esta vía existen unas esculturas muy llamativas e impresionantes, llamándome la atención la escultura de una mujer, al parecer esclava, cargando un bolso sobre su cabeza. Las palmeras hacen de este sitio un lugar fabuloso, por la sombra que brindan. De manera peculiar, pegado a la costa, entre tanto salitre, había una pequeña planta de hortiga florecida, con su flor de un color amarillo muy hermoso.

Continué mi camino y llegué hasta la orilla del río San Juan, que hermoso ver como se unen las aguas dulces del río con el mar, cerca del río vi un sembrado de amapolas, las cuales decidí tomarles unas fotos, pues se notaban espectaculares. Algo realmente majestuoso fue poder apreciar el puente giratorio de hierro, aunque no está en funcionamiento, tiene un diseño genial. Pude capturar algunas imágenes del río desde otro puente, esta ciudad también es llamada la ciudad de los puentes.
I continued on my way and reached the shore of the San Juan River, how beautiful to see how the fresh waters of the river meet the sea, near the river I saw a poppy field, which I decided to take some pictures, because they looked spectacular. Something really majestic was to appreciate the iron swing bridge, although it is not in operation, it has a great design. I was able to capture some images of the river from another bridge, this city is also called the city of bridges.
Al cruzar el puente me encontraba en el casco histórico de la ciudad, donde la arquitectura tiene un estilo neoclásico, apreciando el palacio de Justicia, el museo provincial, al cual no pude entrar, pero su frente tenía colgada la bandera cubana, ¡ Que hermosa, nuestra enseña nacional !. El teatro Sauto, asombroso, pude entrar a su patio y existen en él unas estatuas muy bonitas. Mi recorrido terminó en el centro comercial Plaza Milanés y Ayllón, donde pude comprar una bebida refrescante para aliviar la sed y el calor provocado por la caminata. Luego tuve que retornar para la terminal de trenes, pues se me hacia tarde, me prometí cuando vuelva a visitar la ciudad recorrerla nuevamente y conocer otros sitios, espero que les haya gustado el post, nos vemos.
