Hola amigos de hive, ya hace algunos días que no escribo en la plataforma, por motivos de trabajo, hoy les compartiré una bonita experiencia sobre las clases prácticas que les estoy dando a mis hijos para que aprendan a montar bicicleta. En esta ocasión el área escogida para las clases ha sido la plaza de la revolución holguinera Calixto García, un sitio con gran espacio para este tipo de actividades.

Hello friends of hive, it has been a few days since I last wrote on the platform, for work reasons, today I will share with you a nice experience about the practical classes I am giving my children to learn to ride a bicycle. This time the area chosen for the classes has been the square of the holguinera revolution Calixto Garcia, a place with great space for this type of activities.

Mis alumnos para esta actividad resultan ser un tanto desesperados y temerosos y con mucho miedo de caer al suelo, por lo que para llevar a cabo la actividad hay que tener mucha paciencia, al menos de mi parte. Usamos una bicicleta número 20, a la cual se le bajó al sillín para que los niños alcanzaran perfectamente sin problemas los pedales y pudieran a su vez colocar los pies en el suelo.

My students for this activity turn out to be somewhat desperate and fearful and very afraid of falling to the ground, so to carry out the activity you have to have a lot of patience, at least on my part. Considero que aprender a montar una bicicleta resulta ser una tarea difícil para la persona que está aprendiendo pues siempre tendrá el temor a una caída, es por ello que se requiere de mucha dedicación y esfuerzo. Muy útil resulta entonces transmitirle a esa persona mucho ánimo para que no pierda nunca su objetivo aunque las cosas no le estén saliendo bien.

I believe that learning to ride a bicycle is a difficult task for the person who is learning because he or she will always be afraid of falling, which is why it requires a lot of dedication and effort. It is very useful to transmit to that person a lot of encouragement so that he/she never loses his/her objective even if things are not going well.

El primero en montar fue mi hijo mayor, el cual tuve que aguantar con mucha fuerza para evitar una caída pues se ponía muy rígido, sobre todo cuando tenía que hacer la maniobra que para él es la más compleja girar el timón, después de 5 vueltas a un recorrido de 200 metros, fue perdiendo el miedo pero aún no logra mantener el equilibrio total del ciclo.

The first to ride was my oldest son, who I had to hold on very tightly to avoid a fall because he became very stiff, especially when he had to do the maneuver that for him is the most complex to turn the rudder, after 5 laps of a 200 meter course, he was losing his fear but still can not maintain the total balance of the cycle.

El turno de la hembra fue un tanto más fácil pues ella pesa mucho menos que su hermano y llevarla de la mano resultó ser un gran alivio para mí. Luego de la tercera vuelta la niña logró dominar a la perfección el uso del timón sobre todo la parte de realizar los giros, aunque su equilibrio hay que seguir perfeccionándolo.

The female's turn was a little easier because she weighs much less than her brother and taking her by the hand turned out to be a great relief for me. After the third turn the girl managed to master perfectly the use of the rudder, especially the part of making the turns, although her balance needs to be perfected.

La tarde resultó ser muy bonita y agradable, los niños a pesar de sus temores se divirtieron y aprendieron lo importancia de trazarse metas, en esta oportunidad tienen la meta de aprender a montar bicicleta, la cual lograrán con mucha práctica y paciencia.
