Stairway to heaven..

...aka the little step ladder that Clare and I used to hang clothes on, in our bedroom.
We installed this at the side of our future home ( more on that place in yesterday's post ) to lead up to the roof that doubles as a terazzo with a view.
It is a great place to chill with a drink and or food and enjoy the scenery ( more photos can be found in yesterday's post )
Clare and I had a hot chocolate there tonight, at sunset, after an evening session of thinning out the forest below us. Opening up paths, creating hedgerows and discovering - and liberating - fruit trees from ivy and the like.

On my way to the village, late afternoon/ early evening to get some milk for the hot chocolate, among other things, the view was pretty spectacular too.
The rain had finally stopped and the sky tried to open up...

...and eventally succeeded

And on the way down, the sun came out, an hour before sunset, and lighted up the forest track leading up to our land in a magical way...

Life is pretty goed ( pun intended ).
Believe me, navigating sovereign homesteading, off-grid and on a shoestring budget isn't the easiest road to take but @clareartista and I are sure living the 'goed' life! ;^)
You're definitely livin' the dream - your dream! And to think, the last few years has jsut been you moving in a really disatisfied way from place to place... now you've landed! Yay. This place was waiting for you all along.
Hope you're able to get into the new house soon for some dryer days and nights if nothing else :)
The view from there is definitely great, good for evenings and early mornings
