Hello there, fellow HIVE users as well as dear readers from both HIVE and outside of it! For today's personal post here on the Hive Pets community, I wanted to share two photographs of Gregory, my 15-year-old cat which has been very close to my as I was growing up and, later on, during young adulthood up to the present day.

Gregory is a 15-year-old loving, nice, and protective cat boy and a very valued member of my family. He has been with me since 2008 as I was moving out with my mother while I was still staying in Bucharest to the present day after we returned to our hometown. Recently, he had unfortunately some health issues (which I am not going to describe in this post) and I had to take him to the veterinarian. Very much fortunately, his health has slowly but steadily improved since our visits to the vet this summer and he's back on track (the health problems he recently had this summer are mostly because of his old age). As you can see from the photograph above, Gregory is a mixed Norwegian Forest Cat-European breed, has blue eyes as well as white- and orange-coloured fur. He is usually very calm, nice, loving, and protective, though he can sometimes meow very loudly (possibly given his Norwegian Forest Cat roots, heh).

For years, Gregory's health was stable and normal, but this summer he unfortunately had a series of issues which were fortunately fixed after I took him to the veterinarian. I also bought him a carrier (or small house, if you will) which he liked staying in even after we returned from the vet. I was pleasantly surprised by this. Image source: my mother

Now Gregory is recovering from thrombosis in his paws with the right treatment given by the veterinarian we've been at this summer. He is quite old, but still agile. We took a lot of analyses to see exactly what he had because, at first, everything seemed, paradoxically, quite normal after the basic organ checks. It later turned out his back paws were rather inactive and immobile because of thrombosis. Now he's better but still underway on his treatment.

That was all for this post. I truly hope you liked it, found it interesting, and well worth your time. Thank you very much for your time, attention, readership, consideration, and positive feedback here on my HIVE post. It means a lot to me and I am very grateful to you! All the best, take care, stay safe, and have a wonderful autumn along with your dear ones! 🙂

dragă prieten @vikthor !

From my perspective, Gregory is 75 years old in human years! 😃
Gregory is an old man not a boy!
I wish Gregory's health and longlife!

Did Gregory have descendants?😄

Yes, he is quite old, but he's still a boy to me. He doesn't behave that old. Thanks for your wishes! To answer your question, no, he doesn't have descendants. All the best!

WoW, @vikthor !

It's sad that a wonderful cat like Gregory left no descendants!
Why?

He did not. All the best!

P.S.: He's actually 76 or so, not 75. I previously did the math before with an online converter/calculator for cat years compared to human years. Just a thought.
