Hiking in Belgrade (Kalemegdan Park and Belgrade Fortress, Photo Gallery)

Die historische Festung befindet sich im Kalemegdan Park nahe des Zentrums von Belgrad und lädt zu einem sonntägigen Sparziergang ein, Eintritt in den Park ist grundsätzlich frei, von der Burg selbst sind nur noch ein paar Mauern und einzelne Gebäudefragmente erhalten.

The historic fortress is located in Kalemegdan Park near the center of Belgrade and is ideal for a Sunday stroll. Admission to the park is free, but only a few walls and individual building fragments remain of the castle itself.

Dinos das wäre ja was für meinen Neffen.

Ich glaube sollten doch mal nach Belgrad im nächsten Serbienurlaub. Hatten uns ja für Novi Sad entschieden letztes Jahr, weil es etwas näher dran liegt.

Wish to visit. Perfect spot for sunset photos and the views over the Danube are incredible. Even though not much of the original fortress is left, the atmosphere should be amazing judging from the pictures I'm seeing.

Well at least free admission means everyone can enjoy the history without breaking the bank. Sometimes ruins are more atmospheric than fully restored castles anyway
