Geniales Payment-System in den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in Bukarest, Rumänien.

Man braucht keine Apps installieren, keine Verkaufsstände (die am WE in der Regel geschlossen sind) oder komplizierte Ticket-Automaten aufsuchen, um als Tourist ein Ticket zu kaufen.

Stattdessen gibt es in jedem Bus und vor dem U-Bahn-Eingang einfach Wireless-Payment-Terminals.

Man hält einfach seine Karte an das Gerät und der Betrag für eine einfache Fahrt wird dann direkt von der Karte abgebucht, ohne umständlich vorher ein Ticket auszudrucken zu müssen.

Eine Busfahrt kostet nur 3 Lei (EUR 0.60), eine Metro-Fahrt 5 Lei, circa 1 Euro.

Das Ticket wird rein elektronisch direkt mit der Kreditkarte verknüpft, mit der man bezahlt hat.

Geniales System. Besser als in Wien. Erinnert mich ein bisschen an den Science-Fiction-Film "In Time", wo auch alles wireless (mit Lebenszeit) bezahlt wurde.

Was sagt ihr dazu? Habt ihr schon mal so ein papierloses Ticket-System gesehen?

Amazing payment system in public transport in Bucharest, Romania.

One doesn't need to install any apps, visit ticket offices (which are usually closed at the weekend) or use complicated ticket machines to buy a ticket as a tourist.

Instead, there are wireless payment terminals in every bus and at the entrance to the metro.

You simply hold your card up to the device and the amount for a single journey is then debited directly from the card, without having to go to the trouble of printing out a physical ticket beforehand.

A bus ride costs only 3 lei (EUR 0.60), a metro ride 5 lei, approximately 1 euro.

The ticket is linked electronically to the credit card one used to pay for it.

It's an amazing system. Better than in Vienna. It reminds me a little of the science fiction film “In Time”, where also everything is paid wirelessly (in lifetime).

What do you think? Have you ever seen a paperless ticket system like this before?

It's pretty cheap, now that I think, everyone requires app, or print a ticket and such, I just wonder, will you have to show care to the checkers?

It's amazing indeed since it will allow passengers to make payments with considerable ease. It will prevent people standing in lines waiting to pay thereby congesting the terminals and stations.

Ja das ist das geile, die sind dort weiter als Hier.

Meine Parktikets habe ich in Serbien schon gut 10-15 Jahre früher per SMS bezahlt, noch bevor ich es hier das erste mal in glaube Magdeburg gesehen habe.

Kannst du da aber auch mehrere Tickets kaufen, oder must dann einzeln ran halten, weißt du das?

Man kann wireless meines Wissens immer nur ein Ticket kaufen, aber es gibt noch einen Touch-Screen, vielleicht kann man da auch die Anzahl einstellen. Ansonsten per App oder bei Kiosken, wenn man Monatskarten etc. braucht.

It’s quite common nowadays, I’ve seen it in many places in Spain, in Cyprus and in Germany.

Not that cheap, though :)

Funktioniert in London mittlerweile auch so. Einfach Karte an der Schranke dranhalten beim Tube rein und rausgehen, automatisch wird am Ende der beste Tarif dafür abgezogen.

Oh cool, hab ich nicht gewusst, hab mir in London mühsam Tageskarten gekauft, die dann auch sehr unzuverlässig waren und plötzlich nicht mehr funktioniert haben.

Hat uns einer der Tube Mitarbeiter empfohlen und hat gut funktioniert. Brauchst du nix anderes mehr. Oyster Card oder sowas.

We have the same thing on buses and trains in many parts of Australia. I've had a "pay-wave" bus ticket (the same one) since university, some 15 years ago. It's just a RFID chip that is reloadable - but you can tap and pay with phone or credit card, too.

Klingt wirklich gut. Dachte es mir letztens im Urlaub auch wieder, dass es im Ausland, wenn man die Sprache nicht spricht, oft nicht einfach ist ein Ticket für die Öffis zu kaufen.

Meanwhile in Porto, Portugal they just installed new interfaces but they don't have that type of functionality. You need their own app to do it directly. It's also way more expensive. The cheapest trip for Metro is over 2€ and same for bus. There are also a bunch of different zones to further complicate things (minimum is 2 max is 6 or 7). For bus, if you don't buy in advance, you have to pay even more for a single ticket that doesn't even allow you to change bus if your route requires you to.

yeah, in most western cities it is unfortunately that complicated. I also don't want to install an app to just buy a ticket.

I have been seeing more of these machines, and I think its the smart choice. It makes thing easier.
