New square in the coastal town

Before I tell you about my exploration trip to the new plaza and boulevard, I wanted to mention that it had been a while since I had uploaded a photo post, in fact recently I saw some posts with very good pictures and that inspired me to upload this post as well.

The square also displays the original cannons found in the colonial vaults and has free internet for visitors, combining past and present for new generations of citizens.

This state has so much history, so much culture, so many plazas, but this one in particular has something that really brings us even closer to our ancestors who lived in this state. This site of historical cultural and touristic encounter, where great discoveries of the history of the last 200 years of La Guaira have been made, we have always called it a town in comparison to the Capital (Caracas).

A very nice place to spend the afternoon and enjoy the breeze with the family.

They called it "Sebastián Francisco de Miranda" Historical, Cultural and Memorial Complex, a promenade in homage to the precursor of the Independence located in the same place where the excavation of the Spanish vaults that today occupy part of the Cinta Costera took place.

At the beginning of the square we find the monument in homage to Francisco de Miranda and when walking a little more, you find a descent where you arrive at the flags of Venezuela throughout its history.There they will see me going through the square for the first time as such.

I kept walking and observing the different places in the place and the truth is that they did a good job, the well distributed plants, the flags, the different posters that explain a bit of the history of Miranda.

That large structure that you can see in the photo is where they keep the different grains that arrive at the port of La Guaira.

I was always looking for different angles to appreciate the sea and its beauty, as I was taking photos, each time the sun was setting to give us a beautiful sunset.

I must tell you that where the new Miranda square stands, the walls, cannons and location of the colonial architecture that served as a prison for patriots and fighters for the independence of Venezuela were discovered.

Here I was taking the photos and also appreciating the place.

History says that José María España, Manuel Gual, the heroine Luis Cácceres de Arismendi and Francisco de Miranda himself were detained there, after the capitulation of the First Republic.

At the archaeological site, the structure's vaults, floors, columns and embankments are displayed, as well as messages written on the walls dating back to the late 19th century.

They can appreciate that there is a ship waiting to be authorized to enter the port.

For us Guaireños, this square was a discovery that caused a lot of intrigue for all of us to know that they had discovered and of course how they looked like some cannons that date back a long time, times when the resistance of the Spaniards was lived, and in part it is a place where you can feel that energy where many slaves worked.

These were the best photos I took of that day and I think they turned out very well. I feel lucky to live in a pretty beautiful place where you can take spectacular photos, lucky to live near the sea and enjoy its beauty.

I forgot to tell you that I was with my best friend of all my life, and that I had not visited this new square either, the truth is that we really liked the place and that we agreed to go again with more friends, I told my girlfriend already to go so we can take some photos for the memory.

In this place you will be able to appreciate the birds from very close, that smell of the sea, they even put a restaurant to enjoy the view and at the same time be able to eat a pizza, I missed taking photos of the place but when I approached the square again I'll take it and I'll show you, there are also some tables with benches that I'll come back and be aware of taking pictures of the sea, don't take those details either so you'll appreciate the place much better.

The tide was already rising and the waves were breaking much stronger, and the wind in the same way.
