Wednesday walk at Yambol

Today's Wednesday walk is in the city of Yambol.

The city is located in Southeast Bulgaria on both banks of the Tundzha River.

My husband and I visited the city on Saturday. The reason I wanted to visit the city on that particular day was that a farmers' and crafts exhibition was being organized on the central square, with herbs as the main focus. According to the information presented on social networks, the exhibition would be attended by small producers and herbalists who would not only grow herbs, but would also share their experience and valuable advice on their application.

I couldn't wait to get there and see the exhibition.

It wasn't difficult to find the place where the event was taking place. It was next to the city's famous Bezisten - a building built in 1509-1510. It is one of the bezisten in Bulgaria, preserved from the time of Ottoman rule.

I was very disappointed when we went to the place and it turned out that there was not a single stand with herbs. There were producers of dairy products, sausages, sunflower oil, tomatoes, vegetables, homemade soaps but there really wasn't a single stand with herbs.

There were many pots in the central square, filled with beautiful flowers in bright colors and long, fine green leaves.

Even though the exhibition wasn't what it should have been, with @outlinez we had a wonderful walk around the city.
