Walk to chapel of Saint Elijah - Byala Voda
My friends and I recently took a wonderful walk to the chapel of St. Elijah, which is located about 4 km. from the Strandzha village of Byala Voda.

I have visited almost all the chapels around this village, but I had not been to this one. Its direction is north of the village and there is a marked tourist trail next to it.

My friends and I stopped the car by the main road and entered the forest.

From the very first steps, we were pleasantly surrounded by the first spring flowers. We saw hundreds of spring cyclamens.
So many Scilla bifolia.
Tufts of pink primroses.
And the first forest violets.
There were also crocuses.
We were walking along a forest path full of majestic trees.

The Chapel of Saint Elijah is located on Bosna peak and in the past there was a Thracian sanctuary on its place.

The chapel inside was obvious that it had not been visited for a long time. My friends and I cleaned it and aired it out.

We took a short break and continued towards the village of Byala Voda.

There we visited the Church of St. Elijah, which was built in the 18th century and has been declared an architectural monument.

That day it was unlocked and we could go in and look inside.

This was the last place we visited and we were very happy and satisfied with our walk in Strandzha mountain.
