Hike to the chapel of Saint George near village Indje Voivoda

The warm February days are great for hiking in Strandzha Mountain.
At this time, spring cyclamens, snowdrops, and thousands of crocuses bloom. It's wonderful to be in nature at this time, so my friends and I planned a hike on just such a day.
We decided to visit a small chapel located near the village of Indje Voyvoda, about 40 km from the Black Sea city of Burgas.
My friends and I decided not to follow the marked path to the chapel (since it was very close to the main road). We decided to park the car a little further south and take a walk through the forest to find the sanctuary.

First we walked through a large meadow, then we came out onto a dirt road.

We entered a ravine, which turned out to be quite muddy, so we had to go back a bit.

We entered the forest.

We found unique compositions of forest cyclamen.

We saw beautiful trees, with interesting hollows and lovely forest mosses.

We jumped over small streams.

We reached a stone fountain where there was a resting area. We stopped there for a short break.

The rocks here were unique - covered with green mosses, forest cyclamens, and other plants.

We saw charming butterflies and cute beetles enjoying the beautiful awakening nature.

We saw wild animal tracks along the way.

We soon reached the chapel of St. George.
It was located in a wide meadow and in front of it tall trees seemed to guard the sanctuary.

There were wooden benches and a fireplace.

The chapel was not in good condition - the roof was broken in places and there was damage to the main room. But all the icons and objects were intact and in their place.

My friends and I took a relaxing break on the wooden benches, then followed part of the marked trail before branching off onto a new path that led us back with a fresh views in the Strandzha nature.
