A battle between Cat and Mantis

I recently witnessed a rather interesting battle between a cat and a mantis.

I know about praying mantises that they are aggressive and attack not only small-sized creatures but also those that are bigger than her.

But a conflict with a cat - I didn't expect that and it was quite interesting.

I don't know how the conflict between the cat and the praying mantis started, but I noticed that the cat was behaving strangely. When I got closer I saw what the reason was.

The little praying mantis stood in an attacking posture and made threatening movements. The cat was annoyed, and although he preferred to keep his distance, he would occasionally approach her and carefully try as if to bite her, but it didn't work.

Finally, with her front paws, she made several hard blows and crushed the mantis.

Even slightly crushed, she continued to defend herself by waving her tentacles.

When the cat was sure the praying mantis was not moving, she simply put it on the ground and walked away.
