Capturing the best of Juan Griego - Island of Margarita [ENG/ESP]

They said that the sunsets in Juan Griego, Margarita Island, Venezuela; were extremely beautiful and I confirmed it. One night I charged my Canon 60D with my 135mm lens, packed a bag and the next day I was ready to wake up early and spend a day touring places I didn't know. Arriving at Juan Griego, I went straight to the tourist part "El Fortín de la Galera", upstairs there were people who knew the history of this place and for a small tip they told you in a very picturesque way the origin of the name and the story of the battle of Matasietes.
This place was built in the XVI century to preserve possible attacks from the sea and the name of the city comes from Juan el Griego, a Spanish captain of ships, who came from Seville. He lived in Margarita in the middle of the XVI century and it is said that he was one of the first settlers of the island dedicated to the slave trade.
Juan Griego Bay offers visitors a spectacular beach with calm waters. To the north is La Galera, another beautiful beach with gentle waves. A little away from the city, there is also Playa Caribe, a beach to explore caves and watch dazzling sunsets. That day I wanted to stay until sunset, but the place was a bit lonely and I put my Canon away, however I took out my phone and managed to capture the last picture of my Post.
I hope you liked this series as much as I did. A hug to all of you who read me!
